Jamie Florida is a speech language pathologist in private practice in Houston, Texas. She started her career in the schools and then transitioned to home health where she stayed for six years. As the years went on, she began to feel like she was just going through the motions and wasn't challenged. She knew she needed a change and decided to start a private practice to serve kids with all SLP needs, but to start to specialize in dyslexia. Jamie is now three years into her private practice and doing very well, and I cannot wait to share her story with you. So stay tuned. So Jamie and I have gotten to know each other over the past couple of years, really. And so I've really gotten to see your private practice journey really over the last year for the most part. And so, you know, I can't wait to tell people, you know, what you're up to now, but before we tackle that part, can you please share a little bit about your early career as an SLP and what kind of things might lead you to start thinking about private practice?
