So Lauren, we have been wanting to do this podcast for a long time. We're both in like the SLP private practice space. But before we kind of dive into what your private practice and you know, business and everything else looks like now. Can you please take our listeners back to the beginning of your career as an SLP and what led you to start thinking about private practice?
Yeah. So I just thought I was gonna be in the schools forever, y'all. Like I remember when I first started, I was like, oh, I I want my grades and I'm just gonna be that one that stays in the school system forever. That didn't happen. So I did five years in the schools and for those of you who were I would say who are spiritual, I obviously Have a goal to get married. And so I was praying. I was like, okay, God, whatever you want me to fix, right? Just tell me what it is. And I remember hearing your dad. And I was like, no, pick something else, like my finances, managing that, maybe, you know, how I talk to people. And so my contract didn't get renewed in Tennessee. And then I ended up backing. Home and then within a year of me being at home, my dad caught with me.
Long story short, we had to move him to Atlanta because of his health. And so probably Brandon was just never a part of it.
