Welcome back to another episode of the Private Practice Success Stories Podcast. I'm your host, Jenna Caster Kasbon, and I'm so excited for you to meet today's guest, Elise Dillon. Elise is a speech language pathologist and the owner of Small Talk Speech and Language Services, a private practice that she runs out of her home in Modesto, California. Here's an interesting thing about how Elise started her private practice, which is that Elise didn't actually have a job that she hated. In fact, she was genuinely happy in the schools. She loved her district, loved her role, and wasn't trying to escape.
Until she and her husband decided to move back to their hometown, and suddenly she was facing the possibility of leaving a job that she loved for who knows what. So instead of settling for whatever job she could find in her new town, she got intentional. She started with my free boot camp and then ended up joining the Start Your Private Practice Program.
