If you're a private practitioner or one in the making, you're in the right place, so let's get started. All right, so before we dive in, can you please share your name, your location, and the name of your private practice?
Yes. So my name is Anaya Ruiz and I'm located in Central Florida and my private practice is called Wonder Wings Pediatric Therapy. Anaya.
I have been really looking forward to this interview because I remember when you posted in our start student group about how, you know, you joined the program and then life lifed and you didn't dive in right away, but now you're underway. And I just feel like so many people have an intention to start a private practice and then something happens and they get a little bit derailed for a little bit, but they come back to it. So that's definitely something I want to touch on. But before we get to that part, can you tell everyone a little bit about how you got started in the profession and then at what point did you start thinking about private practice?
Yes. So I started working in the schools. So I completed my C F in the same school district that I completed my externship in. And so it was really a seamless transition. Um I really enjoyed it. And then a few months later I did transition to another district, but still in general I was happy with what I was doing. I was just going through the motions day by day. Um and so I did that through the my third year. So I worked full time for three years in the schools. And then during that third year in the second half, I announced my private practice. And in my fourth year, I went part-time. So I worked three days in the schools.
