That oversees policies like the Rooney Rule to increase minority and female hiring, which is something the Bears have done.
And it's compromised of senior owners and executives. It's Art Rooney from the Steelers. We know that that's somebody who the McCaskey family likes to talk to, the Rooney family. Michael Bidwell from the Cardinals. Arthur Blank from the Falcons. Ozzie Newsome from the Ravens. George McCaskey from the Bears. and John Mara with the Giants. So you would think that being on that committee, knowing how politics go, steak, dinner, boom, you would think that that would help the cause.

And not only has it not helped the cause, the Bears are victims of the NFL unilaterally deciding that they don't want to enact the rule, even though it fits the letter, or the spirit rather, and not necessarily the letter because of Matt Ryan's existence, even though he also made sure to tell people what the structure was.
