For a rule that had already had precedent. And similarly, had had precedent in this exact scenario when it came to Ian Cunningham's ascendance that it did years ago with the New Orleans Saints.
That was a different time. And like you said, this rule isn't that old. It's basically a post pandemic or during pandemic rule. And we know what the backlash has been since a lot of things happened in the year 2020.
