Everybody understood the assignment. And it was very calming for me to watch everyone go in order. DeBonsa, Peterson, Boozer. And then that left the door open for Caleb Wilson to the Bulls. And they got their guy.
Is it bad that I was hoping for a little chaos in that top three just to see something interesting? Not that I didn't want Caleb Wilson to eventually become a bull, but I was like, let's see something spicy happen. Let's see, I don't know, Darren Peterson go first overall instead of A.J. DeBonsa.

The size, length, athleticism, and the physicality. But also understanding that I don't know if this guy can shoot at the level I like my basketball players to be able to shoot.

We understand the threes are not part of his college game. Then they go after Daylon Swain from Texas, and it makes you wonder. He was picked with the 15th pick overall. So how does this look? You know, you're trying to visualize it, and obviously it's going to take some time for these guys. But you're trying to also visualize how is Bryson Graham putting this team together? And Tiago Splitter may be your biggest example of bigs matter. And that is certainly looking like the case for this team.
Bigs matter, and to me, it looks like he chose two-way players. And I get it. Both need work on their offensive games. Both have somewhat of a mid-range game. Both have decent field goal percentages, but it is the three that is the bugaboo for both of those guys. Both of these guys can play really good defense. And you guys have watched enough of the tape probably even before the draft on Caleb Wilson. I mean, I went through about 15 minutes worth of his stuff last night after he was drafted just to refresh me a little bit. And it's... It's amazing how much stuff he cleans up, too, because he's a very good offensive rebounder. The put-back shots off of threes, if nothing else, early on. We all want to see his offensive game develop, but some of the put-back stuff on his own shots, too, I might add.
But you throw up a three, you bounce it off the rim, and there's plenty of highlights where you see Caleb Wilson going up high and just slam it in some guy's face.
