Okay, first things first, I have to ask you, did you go to the Bruce Springsteen concert?
Layla, you know me. course i was at the bruce springsteen concert uh yes i was uh immersed in all that is bruce and the east street band for three straight hours he is 76 years old and he still brings all the power and all the energy uh that you would expect to see in like a 25 year old it was a great great show and the place united center was rocking it was pumping it was awesome
So let me get this straight. The Sox finish with a 500-month for the first time in goodness knows how long. Then they sweep the Angels. And then you go to the Springsteen concert. I mean, on the days of good day for Chuck, I feel like that is up there.
That was a pretty good Chuck day.
How are the White Sox fans reacting to the team's current form?
That was a pretty good Chuck day. We got a sweep of the Angels. I go to the United Center and watch Bruce. It's going to be tough to top that this year, but if the White Sox keep winning, you're not going to hear any complaints out of me. It's been a fun season so far, a lot of excitement, and I'm sure the fans, they've been needing this and wanting this, and they're getting it.
Chuck, I'm glad you said it just like that because it has been a fun – it's been an overdue fun experience. And after a rough start where they weren't scoring runs, and I blame a lot of them, being in Chicago in the cold and just not being able to get things going, they look like they are – Looking like the team, honestly, that we saw at the end of last year and the fact that they could score runs, but it was like, can they find somebody to throw enough innings to get through these games and not make it feel miserable at the end of the games? And Serenity Dominguez has come on. It just feels like a different time.
What changes have been made to the White Sox's lineup this season?
You know, the old Homer Simpson into the bushes meme where, you know, he's backing, backing up, backing up. I feel like now Sox fans are allowed to come out of those bushes and declare their fandom once again.
Yeah, I mean, I'm seeing White Sox gear all over the place. I'm seeing a lot of Murakami gear at rate field. I mean, it's really been flooded in there. There's a lot to like about this team and the way they're playing. They're 14 and 17, which like, OK, obviously they're still under 500, but they finished 13 and 13 in April. That is their first winning month. since June of 2023. I mean, yeah, it's been rough, but if you were watching at the end of last season, you saw the light, you saw where this is going, but there was no guarantee.
How does Chuck Garfine assess the team's potential for a winning record?
And then here we are. And what I wanted to see from this team was having a good April because you want them to... continue what they were doing at the end of last year and then make it even better. And that's what they're doing without Kyle Teal. Mike Vassell's out for the year as well. And you're just seeing a lot of guys contributing. And that's what makes me believe that this team can reach expectations maybe beyond what a lot of people were thinking. Maybe this team can play 500 baseball for the whole year or maybe even above that. And the reason why I think that they can is is that this is not just one or two guys or five guys contributing.

Everybody who they're bringing up and coming to the majors or who are already here, they are in some way, big ways, small ways, contributing.
