This hour is brought to you by Menards.
Save big money at Menards. The views and opinions of Layla Rahimi, Marshall Harris, and Mark Grody should not be taken too seriously. Especially when they give advice. Do not take Marshall's analogies literally. Especially when it comes to Russell Dorsey. The sports thoughts of Rahimi, Harris, and Grody may change at any time. It's just sports. Okay, thanks, bye.
Bye. Bye. Bye.
Rahimi Harrison-Grody, 10-2 on 104.3 The Score.
Real nachos is what we saw presented in the hat yesterday in Arlington when the White Sox were playing the Rangers and may have tried. I would have tried by now. I know Dan Plesak was giving us updates on CHSN during his consumption of the two-foot-long hot dog lovingly referred to as the Boomstick in honor of Nelson Cruz. which is what he, you know, you'd call his home runs. But Schriffen, unfortunately, fell prey to the force known as gravity.
Pro tip, do not try to put the nacho hat on. I made that mistake earlier.
Kind of made a mess of the booth up here. There were a couple of chips there. I have a 30-second rule. I saw a couple of chips with cheese and jalapeno on them. I grabbed that bad boy and just gobbled him up before you put him back on that tray. Wait, wait, I'm saying, you said what? 30-second rule? Is it like three or four seconds? Oh, no, it's 30 for nachos. Are you kidding with cheese and jalapeno? The jalapeno was dead center cut of the nacho, too. 30 seconds. 30 seconds. Come on. They clean the booth up here every day. Let's go back.
Let's go back.
So then Police Tech has decided to ban the five-second rule in the name of nachos. And Shrimp is right. There is a huge difference between all of us have done this where you drink out of the water hose. I have not picked up a nacho after 30 seconds on the floor.
But your apartment's immaculate, or I'll eat off the floor.
219 on this old text line. Growing up in Gary, Indiana, where I was always drunk from the water hose because you couldn't go in and out of the house through second rule.
See there?
Yeah, I understand all of that. Also, 847. When you have a toddler in the house... You're also playing, quote, is it chocolate or poop? Question mark, quote. Rules don't apply, let alone food rules.
Oh, excuse me. Oh, you dropped something, buddy. Nope, that is poop. Human poop all over your pants.
Okay, see, all these things are important. Like, all of these things are part of the discussion.
That's why we've all bypassed that part of our lives.
Yes!
I can't raise my left arm, much less a child. Yippee! Not having kids keeps you young.
Layla Rahimi, Marshall Harris, Mark Grody. Midday's 10 a.m. to 2 on Chicago Sports Radio. 104.3 The Score.
Once again, Tyler Biederbaugh just pushing hilarious opens out for the world and pulling rabbits out of his hat. Unbelievable. This is Rahimi Harrison-Grody on 104.3 The Score. And we have a lot of baseball to talk about, Marshall Harris. White Sox bullpen is on a heater. We'll do that at 1025. We start with a Cubs team that had a chance to take a series, especially after a close game one against the Tigers and then a dominant game two. And if you were describing this game to your friend, I like to say that every now and then when you and I are paid to watch the games every day. How would you have described it? And I would have said to you, Colin Ray was on the mound and I know what to expect out of him.
He did everything he could given the situation that he's been placed in. But the Cubs have to give him some more run support. And I feel like in those cases... Easier said than done, as we've seen. But when your offense is stepping up, that would have been a good opportunity. You're already behind when you lost game one to try to take a home series against the Tigers, who have been hot since the first of June. And unfortunately, just couldn't get this one done.
It's a tough series loss. It's also a disappointing series loss because of where we are in the season and understanding what the Cubs need to do, not only to hold on to a wildcard spot in a very competitive National League, but to maybe make a charge at the top of their division.
