Who opens the show and what light-hearted disclaimers set the tone?

Mark Grote 0:01
This hour is being brought to you by Vasectomy Clinics of Chicago. The views and opinions of Layla Rahimi, Marshall Harris, and Mark Grody should not be taken too seriously. Especially when they give advice. Do not take Marshall's analogies literally. Especially when it comes to Russell Dorsey. The sports thoughts of Rahimi, Harris, and Grody may change at any time. It's just sports. Okay, thanks, bye.
Ryan McGuffey 0:24
Rahimi Harrison-Grody. 10-2 on 104.3 The Score.
Vinny Rotino 0:29
Cliff, how are you doing today?
Unknown 0:31
I'm good, Layla.
Vinny Rotino 0:31
How are you feeling? We're good, but I think we have to do a previously on the last episode of our talk.
Unknown 0:38
What happened?
Vinny Rotino 0:39
Previously.
Unknown 0:40
Flashback.
Ryan McGuffey 0:41
Hey, I done ran on my daughter at the club already.
Bruno Satin 0:45
It's a wrap.
Oh!
Mark Grote 0:46
Awkward. Damn. Awkward. It was very awkward. And I called her, and she didn't look. She looked at the phone, put it back in her purse. I said, okay. Wow. End of flashback. We cleaned that up. We cleaned that up. You told her you saw her? You had a conversation about it?
Ryan McGuffey 1:03
Well, Mark, listen, at the end of the day, I mean, I need her to tell me she's sorry for not answering my calls.
Unknown 1:09
Okay, that's fair.
Ryan McGuffey 1:10
You feel me? Yeah. Because I answer her calls every time she needs my money.
Unknown 1:15
What do you want from me? Tell me. Money?

What happened with Anthony Rizzo and the Wrigley bleachers moment?

Unknown 1:17
You want money? I'll give you money.
Ryan McGuffey 1:19
Like, my mom would get on me still to this day.
Mark Grote 1:21
Okay, yeah. That's a parent thing, right? Like, a parent wants to know that their kid is going to actually, if I miss a call from my mom, I always tell her, just text me, mom, because I miss calls all the time. Just text me and I will get right back to you.
Ryan McGuffey 1:33
You know, my mom has passed those days of, you know, well, mom, I'm at work. Boy, don't you? I ain't got the TV on. You ain't on it.
Vinny Rotino 1:40
No one messes with mom. What was her reaction when she found out that you saw her?
Ryan McGuffey 1:46
She was like, Dad, you know, I mean, this is like a reaction. She goes, Dad, it's time for you to stay out at the club. I go, you know what? Okay. All right, that's your answer, huh? I'm like, well, I mean, and it wasn't even a club situation. It was just like, you know, one of those vibes little spots. I mean, it wasn't like.
Vinny Rotino 2:01
It was a lounge. It was just a bar that happened to have some better music and a better ambiance. People moving a little faster.
Ryan McGuffey 2:07
yeah when you get over 50 man you need a little you know jump start every once in a while you know make sure you you know you you make sure you're still living you know i just told her every once in a while you might bump into that you got one of the coolest dads i told her nah listen i ain't gonna come out there and you know make you look bad now excuse me i gotta go to the bathroom i'm hip hip to what to the whole scene
Unknown 2:32
Layla Rahimi, Marshall Harris, Mark Grody. Middays 10 a.m.

to 2 on Chicago Sports Radio. 104.3 The Score. I can attest to the fact that when you turn 50, when one turns 50, I have turned 50 in my life. That's when you give it up. All chances of those last gasps in your 40s of being hip and doing hip things, they got to go out the door because 50, it just says 50. Well, I knew that when you started using the word hip and said it multiple times in the same sentence. Yes, I agree with you. I'm not 50. I can't relate. I know. I understand.
Unknown 3:10
I can't relate.
Mark Grote 3:11
You got time. Enjoy it, man. I'm already acting like I'm 60, though, so it's all good over here. You're living a good life, though, Marshall Harris. I am living a good life.
Unknown 3:19
I thought 50 was the new 40, though, Grody. Maybe. Maybe. I need it to be, because 40 then is the new 30, and I'm good.
Mark Grote 3:24
Just literally the visual, though, of seeing 50 or telling somebody you are 50, it is then impossible to convince somebody you're cool anymore. That's all I'm saying. And maybe Marshall Harris will be the exception. I don't know. I'm not trying to be cool. I know. I'm trying to enjoy what I believe to be the best time to be a Chicago sports fan. I'm letting it wash over me each and every morning when I wake up and get ready to come into work. My walk to work. Every day is like, you know what? A year ago, I wasn't talking like this, but I am blessed to be in Chicago during this particular moment in sports.
