What is the main topic discussed in this episode?

Leila Rahimi 0:01
No, you've never heard the name of that show before, and you certainly haven't heard the name of the show that this music may or may not apply to. And they're not different things. You have heard the name of the show. And yes, this is the theme of another show. But Inside the Locker Room is technically different because we go inside the locker room with Mark Rohde, who went to Hallis Hall for the OTA availability yesterday. And Mark, I feel like we got a... We got some concerning information out of somebody who a lot of people think is going to be a big part of the receiving core.
Unknown 0:46
That would be Roma Dunze. And he was one of those that was at the podium yesterday talking to the assembled media about his all-important third year and how he's feeling and all that kind of stuff. And, of course, the foot came into question. And I asked Roma Dunze the question of and about the middle of the presser, maybe even towards the end, is your foot 100%?
Rome Odunze 1:09
And is it something that will continually have to be monitored? I mean, I feel like if you break a bone, you always got to, you know, make sure you're on top of it. You know, I continue to do rehab on it, make sure I'm keeping it strong. And that's both feet, whether it comes to, you know, the different exercises that they give me in the rehab as well that I do off the field. But I feel like, yeah, you got to stay on top of it, regardless if it's 100 or not. I feel like it's hard to say it's like 100. I feel like. When we're in the Super Bowl and we win that and we raise that trophy, it'll be 100.
Mark Grote 1:45
What was your reaction to it?
Rome Odunze 1:48
What was the point where it felt normal to you to run on that felling? Felt normal? Fail usual. This is my new normal. This is my new normal. And it's not from a standpoint that I'm like always in pain, but the way my foot broke, there's a calluses in there that like creates, you know, a different type of foot structure with those bones and different things that kind of, you know, shifts things around. So my new normal was kind of what I, you know, am growing into.

What insights did Mark Grote share about the Bears at Halas Hall?

Rome Odunze 2:12
And I don't think that's anything that's going to prohibit me or keep me from making plays. But I feel like with the break, it's just like, you know, when you tear your AC, it's never really back to normal. Shout out to Kenan with his, you know, his little, you know what I'm saying? It's a little different, but we go on.
Mark Grote 2:27
Did you ever need surgery?
Rome Odunze 2:28
Did I ever need surgery? It was a question. It was a question. I feel like the doctors advised that it was something that we can monitor, but they definitely felt like it was able to heal without surgery. So, you know, that's kind of the process I went towards just because, you know, I don't like putting any metal or rods into my foot. So, yeah, it was a question, but I feel like the process we went was adequate.
Unknown 2:51
It's his new normal.

How serious is the injury concern for Rome Odunze?

Unknown 2:53
And yeah, we all sort of sat up in our chairs out at Hallis Hall when he used that phrase. He also, obviously, as you just heard, it said, it's not going to prohibit me from making plays. But how does he know? How do we know what he may have been able to do before? And now this new normal, which is a fluid situation, needs monitoring.
Leila Rahimi 3:11
Also, I don't know about you guys. I know, Marshall, you worked at Channel 7 last night. Mark, you were there, so it's different. I'm reading this. You know, I'm reading this post on Twitter. The artist formerly known as Twitter, as Marshall likes to say. And I'm like, oh, my God. Like, nine red flag emojis. This is not good. It sounds less bad when he talks about it. Also, for him to say AC, I assume he means ACL. thank you thank you for making me think about shamar turner and also wondering how that's gonna go but in the meantime i'm like rome who pushed yourself too hard who flew too close to the sun did you actually need surgery to remove some of that scar tissue did you actually like was that a part of the recommendation like that's the thing i wonder about like are you are you your best self did the did you take the best route to solution here
