Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
This is Rahimi Harrison-Groney on 104.3 The Score. We go to our hotline. That is where we find NFL insider, reporter, and a little bit of a Bears newsbreaker today as well, Jordan Schultz, host of The Schultz Report and co-host of Why Is Draymond Green Talking About Football? You can catch him on Schultz underscore report on X. Jordan, thanks for joining us.
You had a lot of posts this morning about the Bears. What's the latest?
Chapter 2: What trade interests are being discussed for DJ Moore?
Yeah, the Bears are in a really interesting position right now because they're kind of off this, you know, kind of magical playoff run. The roster's in pretty good shape. You have the quarterback. You have the coach. There's so much good stuff. But you also have a lot of decisions to make.
I reported earlier today about Javon Dexter, you know, who comes off his third season, extension eligible, former second-round pick. And, you know, it's not a good defensive tackle draft, and it's not a particularly good defensive tackle free agency market. So someone like Dexter who's eligible ā becomes very attractive to several teams who need a defensive tackle.
And then I mentioned Bajent and D.J. Moore as well. The Bears are getting an influx of calls on Tyson Bajent. My understanding is they really like him. They don't want to move him. But you never say never when it comes to a quarterback, and you never know how desperate a team will get when it comes to an offer. So a lot to monitor with Chicago next couple weeks.
Jordan, you mentioned Tyson Bajan. I'm just curious because it is such a quarterback deficient rookie class coming in after Fernando Mendoza. What kind of pick do you think the Bears would pull the trigger on to get him, and is that something that could actually happen?
I'd certainly be surprised if it happened because I know they really value him. They obviously extended him a year ago.

Chapter 3: What are the implications of the Bears' playoff run on their roster?
He's young, and he's very well-liked in the building. I don't know the answer exactly what would it take But I would say they would have to be completely blown away to even consider it. And so far, even though there's been a lot of calls, they haven't had that.
Jordan, what has been the most surprising piece of news you think you've broken so far, or at least are chasing down at the combine?
You know, there's so much noise, and it can be difficult to navigate it because right now everyone's market, I always say, is 25%, 30% better than it actually is. If you ask people, okay, what's the number on ā if you ask an agent what's the number on this guy, if he's worth 12, maybe the agent will say 17.
You hear a lot of that because then you navigate around and you realize maybe that player is not quite out of the market. So there's a lot of that in navigating right now. Free agency really dominates the combine despite it really being a draft-featured event. I'd say one of the more interesting things I've heard ā It's just the amount of buzz around Ty Simpson, the Alabama quarterback.
A lot of love for him.

Chapter 4: What makes Gervon Dexter an attractive trade option?
And then the receivers. I think between Jalen Tyson from Arizona State, Cardinal Tate. Carnell Tate from Ohio State, Denzel Boston from Washington, Makai Lemon from USC. It's a really interesting wide receiver class with an influx of different style of players. Last year, obviously, a couple years ago, we had the Harrison, Neighbors, Odunze draft.
I don't know if this has that type of star power, but maybe it does because you're talking about four potential, at least, first-round picks of receivers.
Jordan, before we let you go, Jordan Schultz, NFL insider. I got to ask you about Max Crosby because a lot of teams are interested in him. Mike Flora reporting the cost would be two first-rounders and a player. Are there a lot of people who are willing to ante up to that?
Oh no, we lost Jordan.
Oh no, that's a cliffhanger right there.
Jordan was, he's chasing down stuff. So I think he's amidst all the news at the Combine. So at least we got Jordan for the time that we had him. I know it's been a busy day for him as well. And just to recap some of the news that he did publish so far about the Bears. He mentioned it. There was the Jervon Dexter post. And I think that's what surprised me the most.
Teams have inquired with the Bears about Jervon Dexter, who is in the last year of his contract as the free agent defensive market and draft class are not deep. That for the defensive tackle. The 24-year-old started all 17 games last season and has 13.5 career sacks. Jordan came back to talk about Max Crosby.

Chapter 5: How is Tyson Bagent's value impacting the Bears' decisions?
That's nice of you, Jordan.
Yeah, I'm sorry about that. You know, Crosby... I would say nothing, from my understanding, is imminent there. I don't think the Raiders want to trade him. I do think that the market would be robust. When you have an elite pass rusher with that skill set, you're going to command significant draft capital. But the Raiders, they've had so many bad seasons and so much roster trauma. I don't know...
if it's in their best interest to trade their franchise cornerstone over the last, which would have been almost the last decade. Now you have a, you have a second year GM who's very good at John Spitek. You have a first year head coach at Clint Kubiak. The dichotomy between Pete Carroll and Kubiak, I'm sorry. And, and Spitek was, was not healthy. Pete wanted to win. Now Spitek wanted to build.
I, I would think that Kubiak and Spitek would be more on a, a much more aligned when it comes to that. But I would say with, with, with Crosby and, I'm not willing to say he's going to be moved. I think that would be way too ambitious, but if they decided to, there would be a lot of suitors.
Chapter 6: How does the current quarterback class affect trade value?
It would not be hard to find a partner.
Jordan, we know you're busy, so we want to let you go, but thanks for calling back in.
Yeah, and I'm sorry it was so short, but Maybe next week or during free agency when it settles down, we could have a little more time. I appreciate you.
All the time. Absolutely. You name it, we'll check because you're breaking news. So thanks, Jordan. We appreciate the time.
Thanks, Jordan.
That was Jordan Schultz, live from the NFL Combine.
The text line, hilarious.
Uh-oh, what do we see?
269. Jordan was trying to ghost-light the score.

Chapter 7: What surprising news has emerged from the NFL Combine?
But see, in the same breath, he's talking about the fact that Crosby has been there for as long as he's been there and that Spytek wants to build as a front office guy rather than win now. Is Max Crosby even going to be on the Raiders when they're good again? That's my point. Just let that be a part of your rebuilding.
That's why the one and only time I have said this on 104.3 and or 670, the score, is I think the Raiders should go for the haul. That would make sense for everybody.
I'm with it.
Like I just told you who their top five highest paid players are. That left tackle lets you know, huh? Doesn't it?
Didn't hear any other linemen in that top five. And you know what? The stats on the field show it from a year ago, minus that performance against one Chicago Bears.
And that just shows you what a passable left tackle gets paid once they hit free agency. 22 and a half for Colton Miller. He's the third highest paid player on their team. But shouldn't that also, outside of the fact that the individuals are who they are, shouldn't the top three be something along those lines?
Shouldn't it be the guy you know can wreck a game defensively, your quarterback, your left tackle? receiver, theoretically, and Ashton Gentry's in their top five.
In most cases, that sets. Guys who can wreck somebody else's passing game, the guy that you pay to protect your quarterback and your quarterback. That sounds like a solid top three.
Except we just know it's... the Raiders individuals themselves that might, that might lead to the variable here.

Chapter 8: What is the market value for Max Crosby in potential trades?
Yes.
Well, you might get more compensation because of ā I think Jordan put it perfectly. When you talk about the lack of depth in the free agent class plus the lack of depth in the draft class, add those two things up, this is a guy you can just trade for and extend, and it's like getting a free agent a year early in his case.
But at the same time ā What are you replacing him with on the field like next?
That's a Dennis Allen, Ryan Poles, and Ben Johnson discussion.
I think you just move Shamar Turner to the interior at that point, but I don't like that answer either. Coming up next here on Rahimi Harrison-Grody, we continue our discussion just surrounding the stadium and what we know. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker took to national TV to address that Bears push.
That hearing is going on right now, as we understand, and we'll bring you what he had to say next.
