Leila Rahimi 0:00
This hour is brought to you by Vasectomy Clinics of Chicago.

Ladies and gentlemen, joining us now is a man who's got a massive brain.
Mike Florio 0:09
Mike Florio.
Unknown 0:11
He used to be a lawyer, then he decided to take his talents to the internet.
Mike Florio 0:15
NBC Sports. I'm sorry I'm late. I was talking to Robert Kraft. That isn't the time for an airing of grievances. Pro Football Talk. I got a lot of problems with you people.
Unknown 0:24
Now, you're going to hear about it. On Chicago Sports Radio, 104.3 The Score. I want to keep talking Legos.
Leila Rahimi 0:33
And since that has happened, Cornell Tate got selected fourth overall in the NFL draft. Congratulations to him and our guest, Mike Florio, the creator and editor-in-chief of Pro Football Talk. He's at Pro Football Talk on X, and he joins us on Twitch, twitch.tv slash thescoreshicago. Mike, as you put the fireworks effect on your own video feed here, are you wearing a Good Better Best shirt?
Mike Florio 0:58
Maybe. Maybe. Incredible. Here's my wardrobe approach every morning when the clock inches toward 7 a.m. Eastern for PFT Live on NBCSN and Peacock. I grab whatever is closest and I put it on because I'm rushing to get upstairs. I've learned that the closer you have to go to get to wherever you're supposed to be, the closer you cut it. So this was the first thing I grabbed. It's great. And this is the time of year where it gets warm in the daytime and then it gets really cold at night. So I wanted something with a little material to it. And here it is. They gave it to us at the league meetings when we met with president and CEO Kevin Ward, got the whole bag, got the hat to get the good, better, best hat, got the got the sweatshirt, got a T-shirt, got a pennant, got got the whole box, got the playoff box.
Leila Rahimi 1:50
Hold on a second. I think you're unveiling some exclusive merchandise here. I don't know that I've seen anybody buy this. And I'm not trying to like just, you know, give the bears a ton of money, but this is good stuff.
Mike Florio 2:02
Yeah, I don't know. I didn't have to buy it. I know that. They brought it to me in a box and I took it. I appreciate it. What all was in the merch box? That's what I want to know. What else besides that shirt?
Leila Rahimi 2:12
And the hat. That was it.
Mike Florio 2:13
It was the shirt, it was the t-shirt, it was the hat, and it was a pennant. I think that was it. Okay. And like stickers to put on your laptop. I haven't done that yet.
Leila Rahimi 2:21
Stickers? What the heck?

How does Mike Florio view Aaron Rodgers' playing future?

Mike Florio 2:23
Everybody loves stickers.
Leila Rahimi 2:24
All right. Well, thank you for spilling the beans on this. This is very important news and sounds like something the Bears might want to make available to the masses. In the meantime, Mike, I think it's good to have you on today because there is some NBC-specific news that I think we should clear up. The discussion around Chris Sims being fired is not the case. He's just not going to be on the Sunday Night Show anymore. He's still working with you on Pro Football Talk, right?
Mike Florio 2:48
It's amazing how... One fact gets taken and twisted and turned and expanded and mushroomed. He's not gonna be on Football Night in America. If folks haven't noticed, they've made the conscious decision and it's their company, it's their show. They're paring down the cast. Mike Tomlin is joining the show. Tony Dungy won't be back. Chris won't be back. Chris is still going to be doing college football on Saturdays. He's still got his podcast, Chris Sims Unbuttoned. He's still on PFT Live four days a week in the offseason, three days a week during the season. The guy's working all the time. It's just that one day where he's not going to be traveling to wherever the game is. That's one of the complications this year.
Mike Florio 3:33
It's not just... drive to the studio. He would have had to travel all over the country, wherever the game is. That's something that I'm looking at. They're going to let me pick and choose which games I go to, which games I stay home for. So that's all it was. He hasn't been fired. He just won't be doing football night in America, period. We heard what Mike Tomlin had to say to Maria Taylor as he was officially introduced. I know we talked hypothetically about that last week as part of the Football Night in America crew.
