This is the... one of the things that you have to do as a team that is now looking to win you have this balance of do i let a guy develop at the big league level or am i sacrificing wins at a time where i need to continue to win because you're in a division race now and i think for One, you haven't made an acquisition when it comes to your starting pitching at the deadline yet. I think that's part of the equation.

How did the White Sox perform in the recent series against the Yankees?

I think the other part is they are going to have to make a decision on do we send Noah Schultz to AAA? I would imagine those conversations they were having them anyway before last night's start. But let's say you acquire two starting pitchers at the deadline. that leaves you. It's an easy decision. But I think it would also, it's not just, hey, we have better options. I think it's best for his long-term future to go down to AAA, figure some things out, sit down, look at some tape, and say, okay. This is what's been off. Maybe it's a mechanical thing. Maybe it's a pitch mix thing. Maybe it's just one of those lulls of the season where you don't feel like you have your best stuff. I think all those things are things the White Sox are thinking about.

But I do think once they acquire starting pitcher or pitchers, plural, that will be the decision they make.

I don't want to oversimplify it, Russ, because I know it is as detailed as what you just said. But if you can't throw strikes, you can't be here right now. And I think that is the bottom line here. And he has had a couple outings where it wasn't as bad, but you saw how quickly it could snowball in the fourth inning of last night's game. And I completely agree with you. They should be sending him down at worst, or I guess at best, maybe make him an opener for Eric Fetty in games because we know Fetty can handle the bulk as more of a veteran pitcher. If you get your guy, like if you go and only get one guy, he can be the opener for Eric Fetty, and we'll see how he goes. And, you know, it takes me back to 2009 when you had –

Do you know what beats you in October? I'm curious as to your thoughts. Something you just said, walks. Because walks turn into three-run homers. Yes. In the postseason. And that's how you get beat. And so I think for a team that is trying to get to the postseason, get back to the postseason, you have to do all the different things that you can that are in your control to win. And if you have a starting pitcher out there that can't come in the strike zone, you have to find other options.
