Chapter 1: What was the Bears' biggest offensive surprise in the 2025 season?
Rahimi, Harrison, Grody. Midday's Tindall 2 on Chicago Sports Radio 670. The score. The score. The score. The score. The score. The score. The score. The score. Oh, my God. Ben Johnson into his bag of tricks.
And thanks, Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhart from Fox, because one of our questions on our season in review this hour on Rahimi Harrison-Grody is a game where you saw Ben Johnson in his bag. So the flea flicker, there it is. You know what?
I was thinking about how broadcasters legitimately must get so excited to find out they have a Bears game. Like, oh, we got the Bears next week? And just the possibilities are endless. Like after like the first couple of games of the season, that's where you want to be is at the Bears game.
Man, talk about season in review. That's probably the biggest, just the general mood surrounding this past season based on seasons before. Like, to have the Fox A team be out here so often.
And, you know, for all the anti-Chicago bias I think we've seen in the past, how nice was it to know that, like, Kevin Burkhardt and Mike Tirico understand the goal of 4,000 yards for a Bears quarterback in the regular season? Things like that that make it all make sense. Like, the more you're here, you know what you are probably? More informed about the fan base.
Yeah, believe it or not, I would say that is going to sound weird coming from me. I don't think there's been anti-Chicago bias. The Bears have been a terrible franchise, except until this. I mean, a team that lost 10 in a row twice in three years, you're not going to give them the national game.
And when they did give them the national game, often the Bears would embarrass themselves and thus their fan base and the talk show hosts and everybody that cares about the Bears. So I think it's actually been proportionate, to be honest with you.
Fair enough. I think after the Troy Aikman initial discussion, after that first game against the Vikings, there was a lot of discourse about whether or not there was anti. I think it wasn't like favoritism toward the Vikings necessarily, even though I think a lot of people did talk about how glowingly they were talking about J.J. McCarthy in the comeback. Yeah.
But at the time, there was a lot of consternation about the anti-Caleb Williams bias out of Aikman when he talked about some of the throws that he thought he'd want back.
