Two! Shohei Otani, by the way. Braxton Garrett called up today as well, and just the Tyrone Taylor-ness of it all. The Cubs now have a roster that is built to go to the World Series, but I have made my choice. It is more likely to me that the Cubs go to the World Series than does PCA win the MVP over Shohei Otani.
See, I think it's more likely that PCA wins National League MVP than the Cubs go to the World Series. I think Shohei Otani, I doubt he's going to pitch anymore. And if he does, it's going to be a ramp up type activity in the final month or so. And by that point, I think PCA is going to have crossed the 10 war threshold one. And I think he's going to have a better year than Chris Bryant did when he won MVP two. I also think that the defense you can't ignore. This is a guy who is the best defender and show you how he doesn't play defense. He is a DH.

Now that he's taking walks, it's a different ball game now. Shohei Itani is elite. He is the best player of his generation. He may be the best player.
I believe he is the best player of all time because he does both things, pitches and hits at an elite level. I think he is the best player of all time. But this isn't about who's the best.
