Man, what a night. What a night. We are here. We are in Minneapolis. We are in the bowels of the stadium for night one of SummerSlam. The show just ended. Megan Morant could not be here. WWE Now. co-host first of all man saw you out there in the crowd enjoying the show thank you so much for uh for being here and imparting your wisdom i'll tell you like i've i've interviewed you and talked to you on podcasts like i mean dozens of times it has to be at this point and i find your uh your insight into wrestling is is bar none why thank you sam it's really hey everybody i've known sam since he was an intern at the opiate anthony show i think i'm i think i'm the intern i think i gave sam your first big interview

And somehow tonight, I thought the full circle nature of so much of what we saw in the match and then Brock coming back into the ring after the match, taking the mic, saying the words out loud, I am the past and this is the future.

As long as Brock has been doing it, he can still go at this level. I mean, I loved all the callbacks to Brock's matches with The Undertaker. I always love tearing that canvas and seeing those wooden boards under the ring.
When he kicked out of that tombstone, I was honestly surprised. You were? Yeah, I thought, okay, this is it.
That is the thing with Brock. I was talking about that on the radio earlier. The thing about Brock is that even if everybody went into this building thinking, well, clearly Oba's got to win. I didn't think that. Right. How come?
Because it's Minnesota.
Yeah.
And maybe they could squeeze one more match out of it, you know? Absolutely. You never know what they're thinking. And...
If anybody is going to be the guy to do that, it's Brock. He's done it. He did it with Undertaker. He did it with Cena. He's done it with a ton of people. Did you go in thinking that Brock was going to win or just thinking there was a possibility?
No, no. I was waiting to see.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, one of those things. I'm not like the guy that does predictions.

I mean, sometimes you kind of go, okay, you know this is going to happen or whatever.
Right. Yeah, but this was one of those things that could have gone in a lot of different directions. And, I mean, I think Oba also. And, I mean, you know from your career, like, those opportunities. And I don't mean, like, the big picture opportunities. I mean the opportunities to make, like we said, those little moments. And the fact that Oba could do that shot put move. That we've seen him do to smaller guys. He shot put Brock Lesnar in that match.
