Um the show itself, yes. Mm-hmm. Um, it just felt special. Yeah. Even if it didn't make sense on paper, which sometimes it didn't. Right, right. I could see that. Or like with when you would say, like, yeah, I'm doing this thing. It's sort of like a Rap, opera, hip hop thing about Alexander Hamilton. And they're like, Who that yeah and why are you doing that? Um I was like, I get it, sounds off the wall, but being in the room Where it happened. I couldn't help myself. Um it just there was a real energy about it. And so I knew I was lucky enough to have been brought on very early, what felt very early in their process, but I knew I wanted to stay a part of it. Yeah. And I didn't particularly care in in what vein.
I just wanted to be there. Yeah. Um to help tell the story. Yeah. And I loved it. I loved it. I did the did a very tiny workshop where Lynn and Lack, Alex Lackmore were just like playing around, like s seeing what they had. And then that led to a a proper workshop reading. Mm-hmm. And so I stayed with it from that point until I left the show. That's very early.
And and interestingly, this is like my probably I was gonna say my biggest cultural flex, but that's probably more my beret. But you know who one of my cultural flexes that I like to boast of is I saw Lynn doing um a workshop for in the heights at the in the basement of the drama bookshop. Whoa. Yes. And I have a C D recording from that. Yo, that is a flex. Yeah, it is. It was and I remember this was I mean Early two thousands and you know, nobody really listened to me in anything. Anybody that I knew who was in theater, I was like, You've got to do this, but nobody trusted me. So you know,
it's like people sleep on sleep on the craziest things because they end up blowing up into great things. And they're like, What do you mean? Where did that come from? Right. That's my favorite thing, is the where'd it come from? I'm like, it was right there the whole time. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. But it's also fun to be in the camp of the if you know you know.
Yeah, that's true. I was so not surprised that Hamilton became what it was because I don't know Lynn very well, but he's a good guy. You only need to be in the presence of his magic like once to for it to be memorable. You know? I totally agree with that. Um I have these fantasies that you guys like that you as the OG cast that you get together every once in a while and have a reunion. It's every once in a while. Like the like the Bravo reunions or not on camera. That does that happen? Do you have sweatshirts? Like you will okay. Like you all
okay we may all still have our swag. Okay. There was a lot of merch putting it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But no, we do see each other every once in a while. Now we have, you know, some of our cast members from from the original cast now have babies and children. And the ten year anniversary was a really great moment for us to come together as life had taken so many of us all over the place, myself included.
