Hello, Task Force. This is Christian here to tell you about our show Movie Club yet again, the first and third Friday of every month over at redwebpot.com. You can get access to our show Movie Club, where we will take a movie, usually a horror movie, but sometimes we dabble. We will talk about it, give our initial thoughts. Alfredo leads us through the plot and we'll react along the way, and then we wrap up with some final thoughts. He tries to make a good first impression, only to accidentally cause a pile of oranges to collapse. But Iris finds it funny. Her voiceover states that there were two moments when she felt happiest. Iris is a bit nervous around them because Kat is a bit rude to her. They party, they dance. The next day, Iris is by the lake and runs into Sergei. He makes an attempt to come onto her, but she objects. When he doesn't stop, she shoves him backwards where he hits his head on a rock.

I love how this isn't just the tail end ending. You know what I mean? This isn't in the third act. This is immediately we're off to the races. Like everything is flipped on its head. And I love the I love it. I love the moment. Mm-hmm. Oh yeah.
This is like twenty five minutes in. Yeah, dude. And it just immediately like Again, watching it for the second time, all of it makes so much sense because a cat doesn't like Iris. You know, there's a scene where they're talking, and Kat's like, It's not that I don't like you, I don't like the idea of you. It makes me feel replaceable. Yeah. And obviously, the first time you're like, What the hell you on about, cat? And like the movie opens when they're in the car with uh Josh saying, Iris, wake up, and then she's she's in the car with him. Or like there's a night where he says iris go to sleep. Like you're just seeing all these little little kernels that are so So obvious in hindsight. Oh, it's so well done.
It's so good.
Yeah. Yeah. Even just like how curt he is in his talking to her. Mm-hmm. And now we're like, oh, that's like when I say Alexa, what's the forecast? And then it's like the FIFA World Cup, the US lost to Belgium by fo that's like oh you spoiling it. That's not what I asked. So you get all like you just get real curt and frustrated so easily because it's just like it's so easy to see it just as technology as this like a personal thing. But this movie like really blurs those lines. Here's a glimpse behind my curtain here. When you don't know that going in, you're like, God, this guy's got a dick. And it and I realize when you finally see that, I'm like, oh, they snuck it under me where I'm like building sympathy for something that otherwise has very strong feelings around it in the real world.
