Hey everybody, welcome into Redacted on this Tuesday. So glad to have you all here with us. Today's a special day because we've heard from hundreds, hundreds of doctors and dentists since we first aired this interview. And what they said was pretty remarkable. Thank you for exposing... The dental cartel. Thank you for revealing the truth about this cabal that really tries to keep individuals in this perpetual state of paying for dental care. All of this stuff. I mean, it's kind of crazy, actually. And so what we thought we would do today is I wanted to share this interview again. I think it's one of the most important interviews that we've done here on the channel because it affects so many people. family, friends who say, oh, my little kid needs to go and get cavities drilled out, and you find out how nefarious the entire process actually is.
So we wanted to shed some more light on this story today with Dr. Ellie Phillips. Natalie sat down and did this interview. And again, I bring this interview up with people all the time. I hear from people all the time. So if you haven't seen it, I hope you will watch it with me. We're going to be here in the studio. But Please get in your comments live here in the chat room. Love to hear your comments throughout the show today. And yeah, please sit back and enjoy this, what I think is one of the most important interviews that we've done recently here on the channel. Thank you so much.
What if I told you that everything you've been told about going to the dentist, brushing your teeth and getting cavities filled is wrong? What if I told you you shouldn't actually just let dentists fill every cavity that they find because there is a possibility to heal it yourself? Well, our next guest might actually blow your mind like her book did for me. She says that dentists tell us that, oh, you know, cavities are your fault. You didn't work hard enough. You didn't floss hard enough. But what if their entire dental system is actually built on a premise of continuing to need to fix your teeth instead of teaching you to heal yourself? This is what our next guest calls the drill and fill blame game.
She says there are simple science-backed, non-invasive ways to stop cavities in their tracks and prevent them entirely. And get this, in some countries, there are ways that this is done with a simple xylitol gum or mint. You're going to learn about this. Dr. Ellie Phillips is here to blow the whistle on what your dentist never has taught you, and it might just change how you care for your family's teeth. Now, she's the author of the book Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye. She has a YouTube channel and a website, and I'm so excited that she joins me in the studio today. It's really lovely to meet you. You have a beautiful smile. So
clearly you walk the walk.
I
have walked the walk and it started very soon. It began for me. In my life, I was pushed into this by being at dental school in the right place at the right time and running into brick walls along the way where I had to change direction and figuring out and finding out a much bigger picture than the picture I think most dentists are trained to see.
Now, what you're going to teach us is that not everything the dentist sees needs to be filled and drilled. And in fact, there are problems with doing that. You're going to teach us very simple things that you can do, things you can get at Walmart. But you say that dentists play this blame game, telling patients that... You know, well, if you had just brushed or flossed a little harder, you wouldn't find these cavities. Now, one of the reasons I found your book is because I took my children to the dentist and they kept pushing me to things that I couldn't see, that I couldn't verify.
