Chapter 1: What coaching moves are being discussed by Brad Scott and Clarko?
Breakfast with Gary and Tim.
I've never seen, well, I have. It's always a passionate audience, but it is today. Lance Collard, his story's situation being raised by Steve off the temper text. Is this a media ploy to continue to sweep the miscarriage of justice against Collard under the carpet? He's been hung out the dry note. Zero evidence. Poor lad accused of using the wrong insult in a heated moment.
Chapter 2: How is Lance Collard's situation impacting the conversation?
strongly denied and can't be proven. His careers on the line doesn't seem to have any public support. When is that appeal even happening? Well, Steve, it's happening on Thursday, I believe. So, yeah, this is Lance Collard, who two Frankston players said they heard him use a derogatory term. He denied it. Went for the second time. He'd already been suspended for using the same word previously.
Went to the tribunal and got, I think it was seven weeks, maybe two suspended. So that appeal's happening on Thursday, Steve. So I'm not sure we can add much to it. It's a bit like the whole Butters thing. If you're not there, how do you know what's been said?
Well, it was the evidence of two against one in this case.
Well, yeah. And Butters' team would say that there was evidence of he and Wines against one as well.
That's right. That's right. But they're separate cases. So in this case, the Collard case, there were two players saying one thing against Collard who had a different version of the events. You're wrong on this, guys. Lion is being straight up rude and you're justifying it. And this one, it's nice getting to see the real cutthroat Brad Scott for the first time in a few years.
He's been able to flick the switch from rebuilding and working on processes, giving kids games to ruthless, win-at-all-cost Brad Scott. Looking forward to knocking off little Nick and the boys on Saturday.

Chapter 3: What evidence is presented regarding Collard's accusations?
That's from Taggy in Aspen. You and I were talking about this before we came on air today, whether or not there has been a switch that's been flicked there with Brad Scott.
Well, just a couple of examples of coaches coaching hard. And I see it in ā so you see it in Brad, and I've seen it in Clarkson as well. So ā This is getting back to more of what we've known of it. So the Parker, this is what I mean. Don't just sit there and let things remain the same. So he makes the Parker switch.
Parker goes to halfback Ben Revelation, probably an Australian halfback right now. And then just when you think it's getting a bit settled, he comes out and plays Zuhart halfback. That's coaching. I love the fact where you don't just sit, you explore. And now Cam Zuhart might turn out to be the best halfback flanker in footy, simply because you've tried it.
And then you look at Brad and you go, what's Brad done? Well, he's got resources at his disposal for the first time in a long, long time.
You're talking about players, resources. But it didn't look like they were there a month ago.
Not against Melbourne before the game, but he coached hard. He coached. He made right play in the ruck. He put McGrath in the middle. He threw Langford. That's coaching. Just coaching.
There appears to be more of accountability than what there was previously around that team.
And he caught a time. That's what this text is alluding to, you know, with his vision of him wandering down there. And they were outstanding in the first quarter. They tackled. Remember I kept telling you how they don't tackle. Their tackle numbers were. You were telling me. Yeah. Yeah. And you might have told me. I went and had a look at it. Were just ridiculous. Like 15, 16 tackles.
And broken tackles.

Chapter 4: How has Brad Scott changed his coaching style recently?
And everyone to say that he's not committed, that bloke doesn't know any other way. It doesn't matter where he goes, he will be committed because he always wants to get the best out of himself.
Yeah, I've had enough of this nonsense about him... being reported that early in the year he wasn't committed. Early in the year he was their best player in the first game against Hawthorne, clearly. And the second he got well beaten by O'Sullivan, it was the second or third game.
Against North Melbourne, yeah.
And that happened. But his defensive work and his pressure stuff was easily the best in Essendon's team. So he can have a bad game without... having been accused of not being committed when you start to work on the other side of the ball. Anyway, it's been good to see. And I think it makes for a great Anzac Day clash.
You've got the Magpies who had just gone as well, three and three, up against the team who's starting to shelve it.
On that point, Craig McRae was on 360 last night talking about the one, the only, the magnificent Nick Dacos. This is what he had to say.
As I've said many times publicly and maybe all the young people listening at home, he's the best trainer I've ever seen.
That's as important as anything.
So if you want to be a good player, you've got to train like one. School holidays, get down and watch him train.

Chapter 5: What strategies are being employed by coaches to improve team performance?
He's been around some great players throughout the course of his career.
Just have a think about some of those. Go back to the Brisbane Lion Days. Dustin at Richmond, he's been with all the great Brisbane players. He also said this, and I really love this, because when you've got someone like Nick Dacos in your midst, You can, you can take him for granted. You go, oh, well, that's Nick being Nick.
And he said, no, no, I wasn't going to let his, particularly his last quarter go without reminding his teammates.
I made sure today that our players didn't take for granted what he does. And maybe you can get a little bit of like, oh yeah, he's at 39 and kicked a goal. Yeah, he does that most weeks. But I showed most of these highlights to our playing group to show the gratitude and appreciation of what we've got in our building. So we don't walk past it and not reward this sort of behaviour.
And I said to him that not many can do this in front of Pendles and Steele and all these players that have done it for a long time. But what we're getting to witness right in front of our eyes is pretty special. You mean side, not steel.
It is pretty special. There's no question. Just a quick one, because I've been watching the news all morning, and Darcy Moore, the Captain Collingwood's been at the Shrine, and he's obviously been asked about his future. He's saying that he's, well, the headline says, hopeful to be back for Anzac Day. I asked Craig McRae last night. This is his response.
A couple of weeks, maybe. I was hoping for the Hawthorne game. Sorry, we were... Yeah, we're ambitious around that and we'll see how that progresses through training. Degoe back this week, hopefully side bottom. Yeah, but we've got a couple of young guys that are showing some things as well.
Oscar Steen in the ruck and young Hayes did some nice things and Gus Anderson is showing some signs he's capable of playing. So along this journey of improvement, we're growing and I don't feel like we're stuck, but we've got work to do. He's not playing.
He's playing a couple of weeks. He's not playing this week. Well, here's what Darcy says.
