Good morning, everybody. I can give you an update on Gary. I've been in regular contact with him. In fact, I haven't actually cleared this with him, but he's coming along very, very smartly. Very smartly.
And what do you mean by coming along smartly? Like how's he moving is the point.
Well, he's up and about and he's walking. He went for a couple of walks. I get daily feeds from him. He does a little walk and talk. He puts himself on video so that I can see how he's moving, how he's shaping. I haven't been to see him personally because I don't like to invade his personal space, Tom. You know, Gary. Yes. But he's going along nicely, going along nicely. A major operation that, like, all the staples are out and a little bit of pain managed, but not too much. He's up and walking, which is great. The other great thing that I've learned over the break too is that Johnny from Epping, who was as flat as all get out, he's coming good too. Is he? Yes, he is. It's all happening, Tim. It's all happening out there.
So two guys have had very similar back operations, different stages of their life, obviously, but they're coming along very nicely.
Now, Tim, you know I've been sitting here for the last couple of weeks with different people, Sam Edmund, Cain Corns, and the text machine and the people out there, they've missed you. Where's the wisp? Bring him back. I've been wondering where you've been, what you've been up to. Can you give us an insight on what your life's been like for the last fortnight without SEN Breakfast?
Okay, can I just tell you this? And I didn't expect that this would happen to me, but I have fallen in love with the world game. I have fallen in love with the World Cup. I have watched so much soccer in the last two weeks that I now feel like, and I've been listening to soccer podcasts and that type of thing, I think now that I'm actually almost a bona fide expert. Wow. No, don't laugh. As far as the World Game goes, I think I am an expert. And for those that listened to our show before I went away, I'm an unabashed fan of England. I would never, ever barrack for England over Australia in cricket. But in the World Game, I don't know what it is, and I've fallen in love with – I'm easy to get as far as falling in love with competitors.
But Jude Bellingham – I've fallen in love with Jude. He can play, this young man. He can really play at 23 years of age. And I've spotted one too. This guy out there, he plays for Spain. I think he might be the best player in the world. Lamin Yamal. Have you heard of Lamin Yamal?
Yeah, absolutely. He is a superstar player. And Tim, explain to me how, and I say this with complete respect, as I always do with you, at the age of 64. Five. You're 65. Happy birthday for yesterday. I didn't know that either. Happy birthday. There we go. 65, you've all of a sudden fallen in love with soccer.
Oh, no, I've had love affairs with it before, but, you know, I've loved it and then I've moved away and then I've gone. But the time zone this time around because of the daily schedule for Australians, it's been fantastic if you've been on holidays. 5am, 7am, 10am. Yep, I've been getting up at 5am and I've been watching it and consuming as much as I possibly can. And, you know, the emotion that's associated with this though, Tommy, like that's what gets you. Yeah. As you get older, I think this will probably happen to you and it's probably happened to a lot of people out there listening.
