I'll see you there, my friends. If you've never played Dungeons & Dragons before, I don't want you to worry. This is just a game of the imagination. That's all it is. We're gonna play a little game that will hopefully encourage your mind to wander and to live in a dreamlike place at will. hopefully guide you into a restful sleep. If you have played D&D before, you might be wondering how it is that we can play a D&D game. One, just for sleep, and two, in this sort of monologue conversation. because you might be aware that there is some collaborative element to D&D, usually. And I don't want you to worry about that. This is going to be a little bit different to a normal game of Dungeons & Dragons, but it will hopefully still
allow you to expand your imagination to explore parts of your mind that perhaps you haven't explored in a while and really looked into and like i say i hope it will guide your thoughts and your dreams into a restful, peaceful place. That's my intention. Now, before we can begin this game, first, you must decide what character you'd like to be, for after all, D&D is an RPG or role-playing game, and in that sense, We are to play a role in this game. Now, I'd like to invite you to be anyone you wish to be. I'm going to be guiding you through a fantasy world this evening. But that doesn't mean you can't be yourself if you wish to be, if you feel most comfortable as yourself. Then I invite you to come on this bedtime adventure, just as who you are.
But, in same breath, if you would prefer to be someone fanciful, perhaps a chivalrous knight in shining armor, or a woodland mage, An old, wise wizard with a long cloak and pointy hat. Perhaps some kind of cleric or paladin. Someone with a noble and mighty cause of justice. Perhaps you're not even a human at all. Perhaps you decide that you are an animal of sorts.
