I'll see you there, my friends. I'm the kind of person who enjoys a really hot bath. You know, my partner is often sort of very jovially telling me off whenever I have a bath because for her, when she comes along and tests the water with her hand or looks at the little water thermometer that we sometimes use when we're filling up a bath, that's not something we've done historically, but... And you'll probably know if you've had kids, little kids especially, you know, you end up acquiring one of these little water temperature gauges because, of course, you don't want the water to be too hot for a little one. But I've started using it whenever I run my own bath just to see... how hot it is that I am in fact having having my own bath and like I say my partner is often sort of in jest of course but telling me off a little bit for just how hot it is that I'm running my bath because it would be far too hot for her arm and I don't know why it is that I have such a tolerance for it
Because if it's hot outside, you know, if I'm walking along the road in the hot sun, that's often too much for me. I'm not someone who can deal with too much atmospheric heat. But there's something about the warmth of a bath that's far more palatable for me. I, uh, I love it so much I would say it's one of my true happy places to be in a nice warm bath with the lights dimly lit maybe a few soft candles scented candles especially you know and Giving myself a little bit of time just to relax. And that warmth, you know, maybe putting on some meditative music. And this has been the case for a long time for me. I've always loved the ritual of a bath. Where you're really taking care of yourself, you know.
And this has been the case as long as my partner has known me as well. And so she was much surprised when she first heard a few years ago that I'd never been to a spa.
