My partner and I have a funny story that we often think back on and tell to each other from time to time. That was from the last occasion that we were in Cambridge town. well, it was the last occasion that my partner was there. And, well, it was the last occasion that I was there too, but it also happened to be the first occasion that I'd ever been to Cambridge.

And I would love to go back, you know, because it is a beautiful town. If you're unfamiliar with Cambridge, you know, it's got something quintessentially British about it. Even though I wouldn't necessarily say that every British town is reflective of the town of Cambridge. In fact, it's probably quite unique in its sort of very old architecture and, you know, quite gothic style architecture. probably not dissimilar to Oxford as well, but still unique as compared to the broad spectrum of cities across the UK. Most cities, I would say, in the UK are not quite like Cambridge. It really does have the feeling of Harry Potter, I suppose. I think that's probably why, if you are a tourist coming to the UK, Cambridge is probably one of the places you should go.
Cambridge or Oxford, or both, if you have time to get that sort of really Like I say, I think what has become quintessentially sort of stereotypical of England, you really get that sort of atmosphere. as such, it feels like a lovely place to roam around. There are narrow cobbled streets and, you know, this beautiful canal that runs through and you can, you can get a ride on A gondola along the canal through Cambridge. That is not something that we did whilst we were there, but I've heard that it is something. that is a must for a tourist in that area. I'm sure we'll do that one day. We'll have the opportunity if we go back sometime soon. But the story that we tell ourselves of that time is, I mean, it's not really so much of a story as a funny happenstance that occurred to us as we were wandering around.
Now, whenever we go to a new city, especially one that feels quaint and traditional, or if we perhaps go to any small villages that are of course littered throughout the British countryside, I'll often have the urge to visit a bookshop. Unfortunately, you will quite readily find bookshops in these places. That's part of the reason why I like to go to them, because I love to wander around a bookshop, and I think that's something you can relate to, but well, I'll get into this a little bit more later on, but I mean, I think you can when I say there is a particular magic around wandering in an old bookshop, especially one that perhaps sells second-hand books or old books.
