Some people are really surprised when I tell them I used to be into knitting in a really big way. I think it's unexpected for certain people because, well, maybe knitting is associated with an old grandma sitting in a nursing home. plaiting her way with her knitting needles, making an ever-increasing in length scarf. That's sort of the stereotypical, cliched image of someone who knits. And so when I tell people that I used to be really into it and enjoyed it a lot, Yeah, it takes them by surprise, I think, a little bit. But anyone who actually knows me quite well, I don't think is surprised by the fact that I used to be into knitting. And that's because it's a creative art form. And I am someone who gets involved with all kinds of creative stuff.
Andrew 4:02
that's just my way i really enjoy creative hobbies and i found knitting when i was i think in my late teens i might have been 19 when i first learned to knit and you know it's not too difficult if you've never done it It's, of course, a little tricky to start with. I was watching a lot of YouTube tutorials to try and figure out how to get going. Casting on is the first major step. That's attaching your your, not thread, I've forgotten the name of it, I can't believe it, your yarn, that's right, to the initial needle, and the length, the appropriate length that you need it to be, and then, and then of course, learning to do the knitting itself, and, but once you've got those steps together, it's actually not too bad,

And it is so amazing how quickly, once you've got the basics, you can go from just a straight, normal, long scarf to something like a teddy bear if you wanted to. That is actually probably one of the best things I've ever made whilst knitting was this sort of stuffed animal I made for a friend. It was a character from a cartoon we both liked and it was quite cute.
