Okay, dude. First of all, this is where the story starts. Cortisone? Cortisone tea and max strength, dude. Because this story actually starts at the house. Excuse me while I apply a little cortisone. Bro, I'm so itchy. So I was outside. The first thing my son wants to do every day is go outside, ride the bicycle, ride the lawnmower, whatever, anything outside. And so... He was out throwing rocks and landscaping because I was working on the landscaping.
And you realize right now you're making Derwin off the rails, the happiest man on the planet. I just want to throw that out there so that for you people that are watching, you can see this is actually happening right now. If you're listening, Jeremiah is literally putting cream on his feet while we're talking. It's maybe one of the more disgusting things that's ever happened on this show. Yes, I'm maintaining full eye contact with you.
Oh, my God.
Oh, cortisone cream. Dude, it's anti-itch, so... I was working in the landscaping too. And we got these stupid bushes that need to be trimmed. And I was pulling like vines and stuff and weeds out. And I grabbed a hold of this vine and I stripped it with my hand. It left green all over me. I said, wait a second. There's one just like it next to it. I took a picture, looked. Poison ivy. Poison ivy. I said, oh my goodness. Now, luckily, somebody had sent me like some kind of soap lotion type deal that if you wash off the oils fast enough, then it doesn't irritate your skin. So I went in the house as soon as I knew it was poison ivy. I said, Bridget, get the door. Don't let me touch anything. I got to wash this off.
And so, uh, I went to the sink and I couldn't find that, that soap. And so Bridget found a different bar of, uh, poison ivy soap and poison oak. And I washed all that off. And, uh, that imprinted in my mind exactly what that poison ivy looked like. I looked into it a little further and, uh, I was looking to see like whenever it's freshly grown, the different colors. So can I start off by saying, why weren't you wearing gloves? Well, the baby's playing outside. I really, I wanted to be inside doing something. Yeah. But he wanted to play outside. And so he was just out there playing. He just did it because he had nothing else to do. Well, I mean, just playing back and forth with him, letting him do what he wants, playing around outside.
And I was like, well, he's playing over here. I might as well. knock out some of these chores.
Yeah.
And so that imprinted in my mind what the poison ivy looked like. Okay. So you remember that for later. Okay. All right. So anyway, fast forward, Bridget and I, we get all of our stuff packed up.
