We will continue to uh work with outdoor vitals and right now we're in the works with uh what the new deal is gonna look like. So like John said, this ac this uh episode is actually unsponsored, so but we do love outdoor vitals, by the way. So we do, we do, but
John Kelley 0:28
But if you are a company that would like to sponsor a podcast, we are only about six hundred and eighty thousand a year to sponsor the podcast. So uh just give us a call, let us know.
Jeremiah Stringer 0:39
Just that there's a heavy market out there for people looking to pay that much.
John Kelley 0:44
Absolutely. Uh we've got some great comments already coming in. Our good friend uh Derwin off the rail says ten dollars says there's no feat in this podcast. I'm sure he quite enjoyed the last two weeks.
Jeremiah Stringer 0:57
Oh yeah, bro. If if y'all haven't got to see the last couple of episodes, um yes, uh two weeks ago started with some uh cream going on my foot. So Durbin, if you haven't caught that one, g go back and give it the good old replay.
John Kelley 1:12
Uh comment on here, alo for X says coach is first class, and I can't deny that fact. He is uh he's gonna be a great guest today. We're excited to have him in here. Uh Jeremiah, real quick, uh just wanna give you an update. We've been talking about the Crosstrails podcast, the one I'm I'm getting ready to start up and the YouTube channel and everything. Well, we've officially recorded four episodes. And uh I will be releasing the final John Kelly video next week. Oh, I'm excited.
Jeremiah Stringer 1:40
I can tell you first hand it's gonna be professional.
John Kelley 1:43
Yeah, it's gonna be, I'm real excited about what's going on with it. But uh that is happening next week. A complete changeover of the channel. Uh if you want to find out what it looks like, and if you want to unsubscribe, watch that video next week so you'll know uh what's going on with the channel. But with that said, Jeremiah, I think it's time we stop just talking the two of us. And let's bring in this week's guest. You probably know him from Marion Outdoors. We know him as coach. Welcome to the show. Mr Livingston, how are ya? I'm good. Thanks for having me. Absolutely, man. Absolutely. I was I was telling you earlier I I'm just a big dummy and and I had didn't it never put two to two together that You actually own your own outfitter.
John Kelley 2:23
And this whole thing is about your outfitter that you own.
Coach (Coach Livingston) / Marion Outdoors (guest) 2:26
I own an outfitter and a hiker hostel. That's awesome. The hiker hostel is upstairs of the shop. So we're right on the Appalachian Trail, hikers come in and of course it's not busy season right now. Oh. We get a lot of uh hikers in April, May and June. So it's kinda like winding down at this point. But it's always busy.
Jeremiah Stringer 2:49
Like when the bubble kind of pushes through your area.
Coach (Coach Livingston) / Marion Outdoors (guest) 2:52
The Nobo Bubble has passed.
Jeremiah Stringer 2:55
Gotcha. All right. Well, why don't we start off with this? Um, why don't you take uh take a second and tell everybody a little bit about everything that you got going on? I know you got the YouTube, got the hostel, got the got the shop, got a lot of stuff, TikTok we're gonna get into. Uh tell everybody a little bit about you and uh a little bit about your story so that we can dive deeper into the aspect of it.
Coach (Coach Livingston) / Marion Outdoors (guest) 3:17
I was born in western North Carolina, near Asheville. Uh grew up uh in theater actually, but also going outside. Both of those were my passion. And I spent the first twenty of years of my life as a theater actor and tap dance choreographer. So I did that up until the pandemic and I decided, okay, I've had that life, let's pursue this passion, the outdoors. And we found a building to buy and I started this outfitter, Hiker Hostel, and have been doing that for four years, I think, just four years. Started um TikTok and Instagram and YouTube and Facebook. To promote the shop. And it kinda blew up into something that it is now Where I'm ki I I'm an influencer. You know, as people call it.
