In today’s episode of the ‘Career Change Maker’ podcast, I talk on the topic of - Stop Seeking Career Change Advice from the Wrong People. What you will learn:· It is so important to make sure that you're surrounding yourself with people who are helping you to grow and to stretch but it also highlights the impact that other people's perspectives can have. This is why I want to talk about seeking advice from the right places when it comes to your career.· The first thing is when you're thinking about whom to ask for advice then ask yourself why you asked that person. The second thing you want to be thinking about is who am I seeking advice from, what does that person have to bring to the conversation, or what insight do they have?· Seeking advice from someone who has the information and is qualified enough to give you an answer is going to help you to move forward in your career. This is because not only are they going to be able to give you the answer, but they're going to be able to ask you questions that can be so powerful. Those questions will allow you to step outside of the trade that you've been on, and allow you to shift your perspective and think about things from another angle.
