Hey, it's Steve Cardi. Welcome to the Cardi Method Podcast. We... Are you doing something different today? I just again like over and over and over and over again when you're doing the same thing as far as Sundays. I wanted to change up today. And today we're flipping it. Meaning, I'm flipping it on you. Where I'm I'm gonna be asking you some questions. And by the way. If you guys don't know, I put out a video on Friday answering your questions. I get lots of questions on YouTube. People asking me stuff related to photography, obviously. I think that it's important for me to answer those questions. So I did like a, I don't know, maybe a 15-minute video. Answering your questions, which I think is really good.

Please take a second to go have a look at that. Today, we're talking about how to stay motivated when things get really hard. I gotta tell you, first of all, it's been let's say nine months. Since I got diagnosed with first of all lung cancer, second, brain tumor, third Cancer in my brain. So got diagnosed with that in September, had brain surgery, as you can see. My brain surgery scar had brain surgery and was home seven days later. So things get hard. And I'm going through cancer treatment and blah blah blah. I'm not really gonna get too much into that. But what I do wanna get into is how things get hard and we have to somehow find the motivation, even when things are hard, to stay up. and to keep going.
Steve Carty 2:30
And I'm gonna dive into some ways that I get into that and how I deal with that today. And it's I I I don't really talk too much about having cancer because the more I give it life and the more that I give it words, the more power that it has. I also don't say that um that I have it. I say that this is what I have like right now. This is what I'm dealing with. Right now, like It's a temporary situation. And anybody who knows me knows that I'm probably one of the most positive people that you'll ever come across as far as number one, believing that I'm gonna beat this lung cancer business that I'm dealing with. And also, how do I like How do I stay motivated? Well uh I don't spend much time thinking about it.
Steve Carty 3:44
I mean, I do treatments, I do um radiation, sometimes I do chemo, sometimes I do infusions, like sometimes I do blood transfusion. Like, there's so much stuff that I do like on the back end that you guys don't see. But the things that you do see is that I still podcast twice a week. And I still run the Cardi Method and I still maintain this YouTube channel and I still make content and I still work for clients and I still do photo shoots and I like Nothing stops and The thing that I notice for me personally when things get really hard, photographers and creatives like we kind of get paralyzed. We we get stuck. And it's hard because I've gone through it where I've been stuck for years and I want you to know if you're in a spot where like you're feeling stuck.
Steve Carty 5:00
Like this is why I'm opening like truly opening up the ability for you to ask me questions. You can ask me questions in my comments so it's archived so I can like screenshot it and then like Answer it during a video. Um it's important, I feel like, to make myself available to you. So alongside of me giving you great information and motivation today, I want you to also be asking me questions because I have one of my team. Monitoring chat here and also monitoring chat on Instagram. What's up, Instagram? Because we're live on Instagram. Like, really, I don't want to say for the first time, it's not the first time I've ever been live on Instagram, but I don't go live on Instagram often. YouTube is my channel of choice, but trying to get more people to watch.
Steve Carty 6:05
Watch me from Instagram on YouTube because I'm doing some good shit, I think, on YouTube. And if you're missing it, I feel like that's a bit of a bummer. Now the next thing that's crazy is I am almost at I'm almost. Here, look, I'll just show you. I am almost where are we? Over here. Oh it's backwards.
