This is an iHeart Podcast.
Guaranteed human. What's up, fam? I'm sports journalist Ari Chambers. Hey, what's up, y'all? It's your girl, Sam Jay. And we're the host of Everyone Watches Women's Sports, a new podcast from Together and iHeart Women's Sports. We're breaking down the biggest headlines. Naomi Osaka showing out. Shout out to you, Naomi. The viral moments. I've been obsessed with Kashawn Rock's boxing journey. She looks good. Her combos are swift. And the stories everyone's talking about across women's sports. Because everyone watches women's sports. Listen to Everyone Watches Women's Sports on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Listen to You're the Problem with Yamanika on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Jake Brennan, and on the Disgraceland podcast, I explore the wild lives of rock stars and unbelievable true crime stories from music history. These are the stories you haven't heard, the kind you'll end up telling someone else. Like the time Paul McCartney spent in a notorious prison, or the bizarre crime Lady Gaga is accused of, or that time Blondie's Debbie Harry escaped Ted Bundy. Listen to Disgraceland on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Nick Turturro. You probably know me from NYPD Blue, The Longest Yard, or Spike Lee's Black Klansman. And on my new podcast, Delivering Happiness with Nick Turturro, I deliver pizza to a new guest. I've shared a slice with everyone from Seth Rollins. What are you doing with my belt? To Bill Burr. I don't think I've ever met somebody so exactly out of their mind as I am. And now we even have more great guests coming up, including the great John Turturro.
It's called Happiness. Delivering Happiness.
And many, many more. Open your free iHeartRadio app, search Delivering Happiness with Nick Turturro, and listen now.
Welcome to Dynastic, the podcast that chronicles the in-depth histories of iconic professional and college sports teams and institutions. Today's episode is the second of our two on Wimbledon, a tennis tournament that is rich in history, tradition, and electrifying matches. In the first episode, Chuck and I recounted the history of Wimbledon. Today's episode is a bit of a Wimbledon reunion because we've got two guests who together have called dozens of matches at Wimbledon and other tennis tournaments for ESPN.
So first we have Patrick McEnroe. Patrick, of course, played over a decade himself on the ATP Tour, winning the French Open in doubles and reaching the top 30 in singles. But long before that, he, of course, was watching his brother John write Wimbledon history from the unforgettable 1980 final against Bjorn Borg to the moment that gave us You Cannot Be Serious! So since retiring from the tour, Patrick has become one of the most recognizable voices in tennis broadcasting, calling Wimbledon for ESPN for years, while also serving as U.S. Davis Cup captain and head of player development for the U.S. Tennis Association.
And joining Patrick will be Chris McKendry, one of the most familiar faces and voices in tennis broadcasting, and Patrick's longtime partner for ESPN tennis coverage. Chris has spent years anchoring Wimbledon and the U.S. Open broadcasts, interviewing legends of the game, and helping shape how millions of fans experience the sport's biggest moments.
So look, we're pretty excited about this because together, Patrick and Chris bring a rare combo of perspectives. They're player, broadcaster, insider, storyteller, reporter. So we got that together to help us unpack the history of the most famous tournament in tennis and to talk about America's place in the tennis world in tennis. General. Now, a few a few programming notes here before we get started. I want to remind you to follow us on our social media at Dynastic Pod and to follow, like and review us wherever you listen to your podcast or, of course, on our YouTube channel, where we'd like to like and subscribe. And about two thirds of the way through our interview.
