What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
You are listening to the Dan Levitar Show in partnership with the DraftKings Sports app. Now live in all 50 states. All right. We did it, everyone. We made it to Friday. Let's give it up for the weekend, everybody. Yes. All right. There we go. Look at this crew right here. I don't know if this group's worked together yet. We got Roy, Tony, Amin, Chris, and of course, Dave Damoshek. Hello, Dave. Back out on the West Coast. Good to see you. That's right. I'm right now three hours behind all of you. And what's more, I woke up in the middle of the night. I'm playing hurt here. This is my Jordan flu game. I don't know what the hell happened to me. I wake up in the middle of the night and my toe is, I'm in excruciating pain.
And then I have to limp down the stairs to do this show with you people today. And I don't know what the hell happened. I've reached an age now where I just randomly, body parts just hurt real bad. But anyway, good to be with you. Now, it's fairly common to wake up, especially at our age, you wake up and you got the stiff neck. All right. You sleep kind of weird. You sleep wrong.
What personal morning mishaps and sleep stories kick off the show?
But the toe. The big toe. Like the big toe injury. What could have possibly happened? Exactly. That's my question. I'm mystified myself. Baby.
I once woke up with a rib contusion that lasted for like three or four days. I don't know what I did in bed. It just happens. Yes, there is an age where you can hurt yourself sleeping. And it's not even because I was thrashing violently or anything. I don't know. I just don't know. Are you a thrasher? Not really. I am. You thrash? Yeah. How does your wife feel about that?
Were you going to call her White Tamara? You call her White Tamara, whatever. Yes, White Tamara. She does not like it. Matter of fact, a few nights ago, she was so mean to me in the middle of the night. A few nights ago, I'm sleeping peacefully. I'm enjoying my sleep. And all of a sudden, she shoves me in my chest. And she just goes, not even like, you know, like rocking me, you know, just move. It wakes me up out of a dead sleep, and I look around, I'm like, so mean! And then I roll over to the other side. She said I was taking up too much space in the bed, which I don't necessarily agree with. Now, granted, I hug throughout the night. I hug a huge pillow. Why is that so funny? What are you, pregnant? Body pillow.
Yeah, I hug a huge... That's a great visual. Yes, I do. I have a body pillow. Nobody else does that?
No. Pregnant women do that.
Nightly threesome in the Zazlomance. So she, that also bothers her because she claims that as a result, I take up so much space in the bed. I hug a huge body pillow all throughout the night. Whatever. What am I supposed to do with my arm? I'm a side sleeper. What am I supposed to do with my arm? How huge are you talking? Uh... Like length of the bed? No. Why would it be the length of the bed? Does it have a name? Like Hanks' ball, Wilson and all of that, it has a personification. Have you gone so far as to put a face on this pillow? Does it have some sort of character to it?
Wilson also, coincidentally.
How big is the pillow? It's really thick. And it probably goes from, you know, like my neck to, I don't know, like my knees. I don't like this. Okay. So not as long as I thought. What did your wife like it, Zaz? She hates it. I imagine so. Whatever. She was mean, though. Just shoves me in the middle of the night. Move over. What the hell? hell that's because all the affection is going into that pillow instead of her i've proposed to my wife and she has a stiff arm this idea and i know it's not the most romantic but i kind of like the way lucy and desi did it i don't think it's the end of the world and in fact the two beds right yeah but I would propose because I snore and everything. And I think that's a lot to put up with.
If the shoe were on the other foot, you know, I'd be out. I'd move on. But somehow she tolerates it. But yeah, separate rooms. Is that the end of the world for lovers? I know couples who do that.
Why stop there? Why don't do separate residences? And then you can still preserve the magic of like a knocking.
