Hey, what's good, y'all? You're listening to Learn the Hard Way with your favorite therapist and host, Kia Gaines. This space is about Black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing. How many men carry a suit of armor?
It signals to the world that you're not to be played with. And just because you have the capability, that does not mean that you need to. Listen to Learn the Hard Way on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Two percent.
Chapter 3: How does Bill Cowher reflect on his time coaching in Pittsburgh?
That's the number of people who take the stairs when there is also an escalator available. I'm Michael Easter and on my podcast, Two Percent, I break down the science of mental toughness, fitness and building resilience in our strange modern world.
Put yourself through some hardships and you will come out on the other side a happier, more fulfilled, healthier person. Listen to 2%, that's T-W-O percent, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands. I vowed I will be his last target. He is not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves. We always say that. Trust your girlfriends.
Chapter 4: What did Bill Cowher learn from dealing with losses in the NFL?
Listen to The Girlfriends, Trust Me Babe, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I got you, I got you.
You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio. Hour two on this Thursday. Dan and the Danettes, Dan Patrick Show. Beautiful day here in Pittsburgh. Sun is out. Temperatures probably in the upper 70s. Probably in the upper 60s, maybe when first pick is announced tonight. It is a meat Thursday, as it was a meat Wednesday, and there will be a meat Friday as well.
Chapter 5: Who was the best player Bill Cowher wished he could have drafted?
The menu today, the herb-crusted pork loin, the grilled steakhouse burgers, wood-fired pesto, and hot capicola pizza. All the meat provided by Heartland Steak's CEO. Who has it better than we do? Nobody! All righty. We're broadcasting live from the distillery complex in Pittsburgh all week long. Rooftop views, great food cocktails, great cigar lounge.
I've been here the last three nights enjoying the company here with the members. Big German sitting there with me with his cream bourbon. It looks like a white Russian.
Chapter 6: How does Bill Cowher view the importance of team culture?
He finished the bottle last night. I'm like, damn. Now, I got my tequila, but he was pouring. He had a heavy pourer. Yes, Marvin. Yeah, we saw the ashes in the morning. Like, oh, you guys got after it. The ashes? From the cigar. Oh, yeah.
Chapter 7: What insights does Bill Cowher share about quarterback selection?
Oh, yeah, we were actually smoking right by your desk there.
Oh, awesome.
We had the ashtray right there on your computer. What could go wrong? All of our guests this week will receive a gift bag provided by RecTech, Panini, Penske, Dude Wife, Stat of the Day, as always, brought to you by... In any America, the official trading cards of the Dan Patrick Show. All right. We got a poll question. We have a couple of stats of the day. Bill Cowher stops by.
Chapter 8: What advice does Bill Cowher give for building a successful franchise?
Todd is here. Dylan, Paulie, Marvin, myself, the backroom guys as well. Update the poll results from hour one. Dylan. Alrighty, Dan. Well, we've been over our Pittsburgh thing. I guess people would come back or whatever. General life policy, trade up or trade down. 60% of people are going to trade down. Oh. Yeah. Okay. Do you get more picks? I think you do.
That's kind of what comes with the trading down. Okay. Yes, Todd.
I'm trying to think of what the analogy would be to that, because as far as relationships, you could have one beautiful woman or man, as opposed to two good ones, as I would be trading down, because we've got multiple dating partners. Would that be a fair analogy to make?
I didn't come up with the poll question.
If you're trading down and you get multiple picks, that sounds like that would be like you could date two or three average-looking girls or just the one hottie.
I don't know. I'm trying to figure it out.
Todd's gears are turning right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A little worked up. I was just looking at football-wise. I wasn't looking at anything else.
But the question is about life.
I know, I know. There's no good answer here in life. Just letting you know. We could shift it to football if we want, Dan. Yeah, that'd be nice. Okay, would you ever trade up for a running back? Depends on how much I'm giving up for the running back. This year would be a good test for that with Jeremiah Love, too.
