The story I've told myself can then shape my behavior and that can lead me to sabotage the possibility of connection.

Chapter 2: How does Charles Barkley view flopping in basketball?
You were the chosen one. I was the chosen one. All righty. 877-3DP-SHOW, email address dp at danpatrick.com, Twitter handle at dpshow. Poll question for, well, from hour one, and what are we going to go with in hour two? So from hour one, Dan, flopping in the NBA is soft and bad for the product, according to 93% of people.
And then what would you rather get caught in less, an avalanche or a hurricane? 73% say avalanche. Okay. For hour two, we got a couple. Is this Lakers-Thunder series going differently if Luka's playing? Essentially, are they down 0-2 still or not? I would say that it might be 1-1. Okay. Yeah. Because I think they've done a pretty good job with SGA.
It's just you can't let OKC go on a run like they did last night. I think it was a 22-4 run. They ended up winning 125-107. And SGA, averaging just 14 shots and 20 points per game so far, during the regular season, he averaged 19 shots and 31 points per game. So they're doing a pretty good job here. He goes to the bench. They have so much depth. They dominate the Lakers' bench. Reeves plays well.
LeBron plays well. Now you go back home. You're down 0-2, and you're 8.5-point underdogs at home against OKC. Rui Hachimura played pretty well. He has streaks where he's a pretty good shooter. What else, Dylan?
uh... we got another polly and i were actually kind of talking about this earlier uh... the most disgruntled fan bases in sports we talked a little about about the maple leaves this week uh... i figured we could all kind of help populate this i might throw the knicks in there wait but why the knicks are a miserable fan base oh yes But also disgruntled. Okay. What are they disgruntled about?
They just... It's like... They don't even believe in hope. Or it's like it still seems so far away. So close yet so far. Seems like a blanket statement here. I make those. Yeah. Okay. All right. The Lions... Yeah. Boy, the Lions were so close, and they just keep slipping further and further away. Yeah, Paul.
The Knicks are historically disgruntled, but currently gruntled.
They're in good shape. They've got hope. They've got good players under contract. Like the Lions, the past two years, three years, felt great. Historically disgruntled.
Okay, is anybody gruntled? I've never heard somebody gruntled. Is that a real word? We've added dis... Like, you can have an advantage or there can be a disadvantage, but I don't know if... Can you officially be gruntled? Yes, Marvin. The Philadelphia Eagles are a disgruntled fan base.

Chapter 3: What did Charles Barkley say about his beef with Draymond Green?
I don't know. I just confused myself. I didn't go to class. I didn't either. Look at us now. That's where we used to make fun of McLovin, because McLovin went to an Ivy League school, and Paulie and I seized good degrees. Seton didn't last long at West Virginia. Todd was a really good student. I don't know about Marvin at Connecticut. You kind of mailed it in, didn't you? Model student.
Oh, model student. Now, high school, that was a different animal. Wow. But we used to make fun of McLovin. Like, look at what your Ivy League education got you. You're in the same room with us. You're riding the bus, too, brother. Yeah, Paul.
But remember when McLovin would poke people who went to other big schools? Was it Brook Lopez or the Nets? And McLovin goes, you went to Stanford? That was my safety school.
Yeah, but we would say to McLovin, yeah, but you went to Dartmouth. That's not really an Ivy League school. I think that's the easiest one to get into, probably, of the Ivies. Is it? I thought Brown was... Well, maybe it's just they do pass-fail. They don't do grades at Brown. Well, I went to the Harvard of the West, so I wouldn't really totally get it. I know.
Everybody says, like, I went to the Harvard of the Midwest. No, they said that during our orientation, and everyone started laughing. They're like, that's very nice, but that's not true. Miami, Ohio would say they were the Harvard of the Midwest. I've got some friends who went there. It is not. It's a great school. Great school, but every building looks the same. Brick. Yes, it's a lot of brick.
Yes, Todd.
It's always hard to get respect with that school because it's Miami of Ohio.
Before you get all excited about the Canes and do the U for me, it's the Ohio one. Yes, Paul. Quick quiz. I had the acceptance rates from last year with all Ivy League schools. There is one school that is the easiest to get into of... A bunch of tough schools. It's 9% except in three.
That's the easiest one. That's the easiest. Schools like Yale, Harvard, Princeton are closer to 4%.

Chapter 4: How are the Lakers performing against the Thunder in the playoffs?
They're most disgruntled as a lifelong Bengals fan. That would be and also the Buffalo Bills, I would say, for football disgruntled. I did have a question for you all. And by the way, happy meat Friday. Fritzie, that was a crazy menu. I have a question. I was wondering what the opening bid is for the plexiglass between Fritzie and Seton, if that's available.
I am working with my house divided here, so we're possibly getting that.
Chapter 5: What impact does Luka Doncic have on the Lakers-Thunder series?
Well, you know what? I'll take that under consideration, Paul, and I'll see if we auction items off from the man cave at some point, then the plexiglass that was there between McLovin, Seton, and Fritzie. Yes, Dylan? It is wild to be like, all of the stuff that's in here, I want the piece of plexiglass that was between the two desks. Buddha in San Francisco. Hi, Buddha.
Nobody. Happy Meat Friday, boys. Let's go, Fritzie. DP, listening to all the whose career you would take yesterday, it made me wonder whose career you're taking, man. Gary Springer, Maury Povich, or Dr. Phil?
None of the above?
But, Dan, I'm loyal to the soil, as Marvin says. But watching the Lakers, you know, I've said this before, the past few years have been rough. I mean, they got all the drama of Showtime and none of the fast breaks, man. It's been brutal. But the NBA is almost getting... like soccer flopping bad, like you guys said.
I mean, when you watch the soccer players, they fall down on the pitch, and then they get hit by a sniper, and then they roll around thriving in pain. They get miraculously healed by the curing magic spray, and it's hard to watch. And seeing this grow in the NBA is just exhausting, and it makes me feel like this whole flopping generation is stopped.

Chapter 6: What are the thoughts on James Harden's performance this season?
He's not. He just gets it done. And let me tell you something. You know, people talk about Shea, who's amazing. If you go back and look in the last couple years, there's nobody who's been a better closer than Jalen Bronson in the NBA. He's been flat out fascinating to watch. Which brings us to James Harden. I don't know what Cleveland thought when they traded to get him.
He was going to be a difference maker in the postseason. There's no track record there.
He looks old.
Dan, I'll be the first to admit it. I was 100% wrong right now. I thought when the Cavaliers got James Harden, I thought it made them the favorite in the East. I picked them to win the East. I am not going to lie. I am in shock. And, you know, when I showed that stat the other night, I saw it somewhere. I can't remember where.
He's had 29 games where he's had more turnovers than field goals made in a game as a great player. That's one of the most shocking stats I've ever seen on a guy who's going to be a first ballot Hall of Famer. I mean, 29 times, Dan, he's had more turnovers than field goals in a playoff game. That's impossible. I mean, like, I'm like, whoa, you can have a bad turnover game.
You can have two, maybe three. But you should, like, you got to have more field goals. But to have it 29 times, and I'm not going to lie, I was 100% wrong. I picked, I loved the trade for James Harden because I thought, Number one, it would free up Donovan Mitchell just to score, because that's what he wants to do, just score. He don't want to pass the ball.
But I thought it would unlock Mobley and Jared Allen. And then James, I thought James would have a flashback where you get your 30 points one game in the playoffs. But he's going to help Mobley and Jared Allen. And Donovan can just do what he wants to do, which is score. But it looks like I am 100% wrong in that situation. I picked the Cavs to get to the finals. James, I'm not going to lie.
I'm in shock how bad he's playing. You going to Tahoe again this year? Dan, of course I'm going to Tahoe. Are you going to be the coward that you are? Won't you come out there, Dan? It's the best week of the year. I am going out there. I'm doing the show again out there. Are you going to play in the tournament? I got to work. Dan, you don't work on a damn weekend, Dan.
I know, but I work during the week. We don't play until Friday. I'm entertaining a nation. It takes a lot out of me. Well, you know what takes a lot out of you, Dan? Them two footers you kept slapping by the hole and talking about, you know, when I play at home, these are good. Dan, I'm going to tell you something. I'm not going to lie. It was funny. And he says, these aren't gimmies?
