Chapter 1: What are the Indiana Pacers' challenges in the NBA Draft Lottery?
This is an iHeart Podcast.
Guaranteed human. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo, and every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the biggest moments in sports, and giving you the real story behind the headlines.
And we're going straight to the source, the athletes themselves, their locker room stories, their reactions in the moment, and the stuff nobody gets to hear. Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy? Not quite. On Humor Me with Robert Smigel and Friends, me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guests, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between-songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes.
Chapter 2: How is the Eastern Conference performing this season?

On the Look Back At It podcast. 1979, that was a big moment for me. 84 was big to me. I'm Sam J. And I'm Alex English. Each episode, we pick a year, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors. Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s. 84 was a wild year.
It was a wild year. I don't think there's a more important year for black people.

Chapter 3: What does Jamal Crawford think about Anthony Edwards' competitiveness?
This space is about Black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing. How many men...
carry a suit of armor it signals to the world that you not to be played with and just because you have the capability that does not mean that you need to listen to learn the hard way on the iheart radio app apple podcast or wherever you get your podcast you are listening to the dan patrick show on fox sports radio final hour on this monday more of your phone calls best and worst of the weekend jamal crawford
He works for NBC with their NBA coverage. He will join us coming up in about 20 minutes from now. Always great to talk hoops with him. Your phone calls, always welcome, especially on a Monday. Best and worst of the weekend, what you saw that you liked, you didn't like. I didn't realize that the Orioles had a Tupac Shakur bobblehead night. I did not know this.
Yeah, on Friday. Okay, but why? So Tupac's from Baltimore originally. Okay.
So I guess that they had around 5,000 bobbleheads.

Chapter 4: What factors contribute to the Knicks' recent success?
How many bobbleheads did they have? Because fans were lining up four hours before the game on Friday.
They had 20,000 available, which is about half of the max attendance.
Okay. Attendance was 39,000, and people were lined up for four hours to get their bobblehead. Okay.
So my fiancee, now actually she went to that game and they got there like an hour and a half early and it was immediately like no shot. It looked like that Metallica concert they played in Russia where there's like two million people there. And people had flown in from other states just to get the bobblehead. They're fighting over him and bartering, trying to sell and trade him in the stadium.
Apparently it was a little nuts.
Yeah, I'm seeing some numbers where they went for between $100 and $170 on eBay after the game. Yeah, $39,000, but they had, you said $20,000 bobbleheads?
Yeah, so you had like, but then again, so there's a 50-50 shot, like more or less, but you had to get there, I don't know. Five hours early to even get in line.

Chapter 5: How does Tyrese Halliburton compare to NBA legends?
Yes, Paulie. Big crowd, 39,000. Bigger since the home opener. And Tupac's sister threw out the first pitch. Oh, cool.
Yeah. All right. Yes, Todd. And at the concession stand, you can get a Tupac of nachos, a Tupac of hot dogs. They did a whole thing.
I'm lenient right now. Last hour. I'm lenient. Tupac. Best and worst of the week.
Chapter 6: What insights does Jamal Crawford share about NBA analysts?
Best and worst of the weekend, 877-3DP-SHELL. Operator Tyler is sitting by. Take your phone calls. Stat of the day is always brought to you by Panini America, the official trading cards of the Dan Patrick Show. Tomorrow night, Pistons, or I should say, no, is that tonight? Pistons and the Cavs. That's tonight. It says tune in on tomorrow. I don't know who did that. Okay.
Wait, isn't this your job to take care of all that? Yes. So the game is tonight. It is tonight. On NBC and Peacock.
Chapter 7: What are the implications of LeBron James' potential retirement?
It is. At 8 Eastern. Correct. Okay. Pistons are 3.5-point underdogs. The Lakers are 10.5-point underdogs at home in what could be the closeout game of that series. We spent a lot of time talking about the Knicks. They're doing it right. They are not leaving anything to chance. They are blowing teams out. They beat the Sixers by an average of 22 points.
That's the best in franchise history for a series. The previous best, I think, was the series with Atlanta, where they won by, I think, every game by at least 17, an average of 17 points per game. But it's working. And keep in mind, though, they have to get to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Chapter 8: How does Jamal Crawford view the future of the NBA?
They have to win the Eastern Conference Finals. Because the Knicks have been here before last year with Tom Thibodeau. And then they made the change because they couldn't get by Indiana. Mike Brown has done a really good job. But he's done good jobs in other places. He just doesn't last longer. He gets fired. Now you're taking over for the Knicks. You've got to get to the NBA Finals.
Now, they're not going to fire Mike Brown. I'm just saying, if we're looking at what Tom Thibodeau did, just remember what they did last year. They didn't plan on Tyrese Halliburton being fired. A crazy clutch breakout player. Hard to even describe what that was all about because you're thinking, all right, you're watching the Pacers and you're going, okay.
And all of a sudden, game on the line and Tyrese Halliburton is acting like Reggie Miller. Yes, Marv.
Last season, when the Knicks beat the Celtics in the second round, I was with everybody else. They're going to beat the Pacers in six, and now it's time to go to the NBA Finals. And then Nate Smith and Neb Hard and Miles Turner, all these guys came out of nowhere and blew their doors off.
Well, it seems like a long, long time ago the Pacers were in the NBA Finals. Long, long time ago. They took OKC to a game seven. I know. Long, long time ago. And the Pacers had the league's second worst record. They won 19 games. But they made a trade when they had 13 wins and 38 losses. And they made the trade with the Clippers. Avika Zubak.
And all of a sudden, if it was a top four pick, it was protected. They ended up with the fifth pick after the lottery ended. So that's rough. Clippers made a good deal. Good deal. Got two first-round picks, second-round pick, a couple of players as well. They did a good job. But the Pacers, you got 13 wins and 38 losses. I'm not making any trades to try to improve my roster.
And Kevin Pritchard admitted, hey, we took a chance, needed a little luck. We didn't get luck. Well... there's the problem. You're trying to get luck. I want you to get good, not lucky. And they end up losing that pick to the Clippers. OKC has another pick. What pick do they have, like 14th or something? I believe it's the 12th pick. Oh, 12th pick. They don't have any room on the roster.
You've got guys who were 9th or 10th or 11th on the depth chart getting in and lighting up. I mean, they're looking like all-stars here.
Yeah, Paul. They have the 12th pick and the 17th pick. And they've got three first-round picks next year, OKC.
