Okay, good morning. Oh no, your camera. How do we start with color bars? That's what's happening this morning in my household, in my studio. We're starting with color bars. Let's see.
How did that happen during the intro?
I know, just as soon as we go on, that happens, but hey.
I can assure you, Lemon Nation, Don was on camera when we hit start.
Okay.
I was on camera when we hit start, but not right now. I am right now. Hi, everybody. Good morning to you guys. Hi, everybody. Welcome to the Don Lemon Show. Here we go. There we go. I'm back. I mean, as soon as we hit the thing, right? It's like, wait a minute. Where are those color bars coming from? Good morning, everyone. Glad that you are here. Of course, every morning we're glad that you're here. God, do I want to do this to you this early in the morning? Wow, my tea is good. It is a cold morning, but I don't know why it's 69 degrees in here and the camera is overheating. What's up with that? Who knows what's going on? First order of business. Did you hit the thumbs up yet? Come on, be honest. Did you hit the thumbs up yet?
Just in case you didn't, I'm asking you to because it does affect the algorithm. More people become aware of our conversation, our channel, which is very important. So I had a great evening last night. Donald Trump, let's just put it up because he's finishing now. Donald Trump is at the prayer breakfast in Washington, D.C. He has been speaking this morning. Nothing to do with prayer. It was the bizarre thing where we say he implodes on TV and the thumbnail. It's true. It was bizarre. This is a breakfast. Again, these are not normal times, but this is a breakfast that is held every single year. The National Prayer Breakfast held at the Hilton's International Ballroom in Washington, D.C., yearly event attended by 3,500 guests, including international invitees from over 100 countries.
Until 2023, it was hosted by members of the United States Congress and organized on behalf of the Christian Organization Fellowship Foundation. And since 2003, the official event has been run by the National Prayer Breakfast Foundation. But, you know, look, I'm not anybody's doctor. And when you say, you know, oh, my God, this shit is crazy or they're insane or he's insane, you know, you know what I'm talking about. Donald Trump is literally out of his mind and we are all living in this mess from someone who's like a Looney Tunes. But somehow he co-opted enough people, got enough people to pay his legal bills and to give him money. that he became the president of the United States again. And he's a loon who's running this country and everybody else is, you know, it's just has to live in his narcissism, his megalomania, his psychosis, all of it.
And I wondered like, is, is he a useful idiot for people like Stephen Miller or useful idiot for, all of the people who are grifting off of him, but then you think of JD Vance and you're like, well, he's a useful idiot too. But because the grift is so good, they're all making money and they're all, you know, bolstering their resumes with these jobs that they are not qualified for. Let's listen to Jonathan Jackson.
In the Latin Imago Dei, that we always be reminded we are made in the image of God. In the Latin verben Dei, that we also be reminded that we ask for the word of God. Our good and gracious God, we pray for the health and deliberations of the President of the United States. And we pray that you would be the final arbiter of whatever decisions he endeavors to make. that you would increase the stature of his wisdom because without you none of us can adjudicate the overwhelming details of leadership and life. Today we pray for America and we pray for all parliamentarians around the world. The book of Timothy teaches us that you've been entrusted with leadership. Today we pray for the future of this nation and that you would lead this president into greater levels of compassion for your namesake.
We pray that you would protect him from the iniquities of evil and that you would give him greater clarity, greater courage, and greater capacity to do what is right in the forever challenges.
