What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Good morning, everybody. Where is Don? Where is Don? It is 10 to 15 and we need our hot topics. And we are. Look, no pun intended. I don't want to draw light of what's happening. But I mean, this is a really a real hot topic considering the nature of it. So thank you, everyone. We've been monitoring the fires all weekend to see what's going on. We had a show last night to talk about Everything that has to do with the fires, the progress, the regress, the lies, the truth, the facts versus the fiction. We did some of that yesterday as we talked about the possible end of TikTok that folks are watching. Just going to do some things that are other than what's happening in Washington, although there is politics happening as it relates to this fire.
So good morning. Morning from Texas, Sir Ken Ross. Good to see you that you're here from Texas. This morning. Good morning to let's see where other folks are in from this morning. Good morning to folks in Louisiana are here. As GQ Wonder Woman says, hit the like button. You guys already know. Good morning from the West Coast. This is Brittany. Brittany, how are you on the West Coast? Are you near Los Angeles? What's going on? Debbie Navarro, good morning to you as well. I'd just like to shout out some of the people here because I know it's a Monday morning. I'm just wondering how you're doing. Southern California here, Kim Page. How are things there where you are? Good morning from New Jersey, Tammy Jones. Let us know and we'll shout you guys all out.
Good morning from San Francisco, Maureen Marfell, of course. One of my favorites here. Sam from Florida is in. Hello to you, Chicago, as well. Grand Rising Don from Virginia. Tawana Curry. Appreciate that. Margarita on the rocks. Lake Jackson, Texas in the house. I'm so glad that you're here. Brittany is checking in from Phoenix. Hi, Brittany. And then Forrest Harrison from the city of Compton. Okay, I'll continue to shout you out. I'm so glad that you guys are here. Make sure you do hit the thumbs up and the like because it does affect the algorithm and more people will be aware of our conversation. This is what we're going to talk about on Hot Topics this morning on the Don Lemon Show. I wish I had good news to bring you this morning as it relates to the fire.
You see we were monitoring it behind you. I've been going through, you know, you can go through if you have a service, go through different feeds. And so there are different feeds that I've been following. This one that is CNBC is a really good feed. And there's other one that's Los Angeles television. And there's a Fox one in Los Angeles as well. And then just different single feeds that are out there. So I wish I had some good news to bring to you. I wish I could tell you that this situation in California is about to get better. or even that it's better at all, but it doesn't appear to be the case right now. So quite frankly, I'm just going to be honest with you. Meteorologists say that extremely dangerous winds are set to sweep through Los Angeles, and that should happen tonight.
That could reverse the progress that firefighters have been, that they've made against these unbelievable wildfires here, historic wildfires here. Officials have issued a rare red flag warning for Monday night, through Wednesday morning. So tonight through Wednesday morning, there is a red flag warning. That is the same level of alert that was issued last week as these hurricane force wind gusts supercharged those fires. That is what pushed all these fires to where they are. These hurricane wind gusts supercharged They supercharged those fires. Now, here's what I want you to know. In that one sentence, I'm telling you what the real cause of this fire is. And I'm going to get to the politics and say we're going to get away from the politics of Washington.
But this whole thing in L.A., it's so much politics, so much back and forth, so much contradiction and where people just need them to stop the fires, get them out, get them in control and then figure out what to do next.
