We just want to announce that the character Gerald will now be played by Malachi Lazuli. Thank you for listening, and enjoy the show.

109.87 - 119.759 Captain Vera Sherapova

Engines to standby. Prepare to weigh anchor. Yes sir. Bringing the engines. What the hell? Was that from the engine room?

0

120.72 - 122.241 Barry

Captain, engines are offline.

128.227 - 128.727 Avery

Engine room.

129.288 - 142.421 Captain Vera Sherapova

Damage report. Engine room. Do you copy? Captain. Explosion in the engine room.

142.441 - 154.236 Unknown

We're trying to contain the fire. Do you need fixed fire suppression? No. Pretty sure we can manage it with extinguishers. Just give us a few to knock it out.

156.94 - 177.682 Captain Vera Sherapova

Roger that. Sounds general emergency. Engine room explosion. Aye, sir. Engine room explosion. All hands to emergency stations. That's it. Throw up the sea anchor.

Chapter 2: What conclusions does the research team reach regarding their situation?

463.133 - 465.155 Captain Vera Sherapova

Mary said that Wade's missing?

0

465.996 - 476.582 Ryan

Yeah... I don't even know how to explain it, but something broke in here and took him. What broke in?

0

477.904 - 492.666 Captain Vera Sherapova

We don't have time to explain everything. We need to comb through every inch of this place and check the security footage. Do you have time to tell us what the hell we're supposed to be looking for? Anyone or anything that doesn't belong here. How's that?

0

493.507 - 500.929 Avery

Yeah, sure. Whatever you say. And I think it would be wise to travel in groups.

0

503.072 - 512.184 Captain Vera Sherapova

Wait a minute. Where's the relic? Oh, fuck. I must have dropped it when that thing rushed us.

512.965 - 515.248 Ryan

You mean that machine you said was custom made?

523.318 - 530.06 Captain Vera Sherapova

Shit. I don't see it anywhere. More likely that thing fucking took it. Probably knew it was how we were able to track it.

531.102 - 541.335 Ryan

Come on, guys. We gotta find Wade. If he's still here... Dr. Aldrich, you and your friends should find somewhere to hold up till we finish with our sweep.

542.336 - 545.741 Captain Vera Sherapova

We will. Just keep your radios handy and let us know what you find.

Chapter 3: How does the explosion impact the crew's mission?

568.269 - 575.021 Captain Vera Sherapova

I don't get it. You know something about all of this? I knew you were holding back.

0

575.702 - 580.23 Avery

Why don't we all go back to my room, and I'll explain the best that I am able.

0

591.348 - 599.058 James

So, what do you make of it?

0

599.118 - 605.066 Unknown

Might be a little early to say for sure, but there's nothing that could have caused that kind of blast.

0

608.891 - 609.892 Captain Vera Sherapova

God, look at this mess.

612.255 - 616.34 Unknown

If I had to bet, I'd say an explosive device was used.

617.522 - 619.144 James

A fucking bomb!

620.238 - 625.17 Captain Vera Sherapova

I'm not 100% yet, but that's what I'm thinking.

625.19 - 650.139 James

Jesus, Mary, and fucking Joseph. Well, that about clenches things, don't it? With the rope lines being cut and now this, we've got a saboteur for certain. James isn't completely sure, but he thinks it was a bomb that caused the explosion.

Chapter 4: What challenges arise from the engine room explosion?

718.996 - 754.964 Captain Vera Sherapova

Not even for a single second. But now... Jesus. It's not even about having enough evidence. It's about being capable of believing. just unbelievable. It's a hard sell, I know. But at this point, we'd be fools not to acknowledge what's happening. Look, I can admit this is all happening, but I can't say that I know for sure what's behind it, no matter how... Demonic, it looks.

0

755.845 - 782.494 Avery

In principle, you and I finally see eye to eye. I am by no means subscribing to anything supernatural. Only to the fact that something that outstrips our current understanding is indeed happening. Whatever this creature is, if it proved to be a creature at all, remains to be seen. All I'm asking for is that you help me to stop this phenomenon before anyone else gets hurt.

0

783.537 - 816.109 Captain Vera Sherapova

I never thought things like this were possible, whether they be supernatural or, I don't know, ultra-natural. Still, I don't know how ancient machines figure into demonic possession and monster goats crashing through our doors. I guess, all things considered, I'd rather believe in aliens than devils. However you slice it, though, I guess I'll take my plate of crow now.

0

816.71 - 829.972 Avery

Not at all. I take no pleasure in any of this. Two men are likely already dead. My sole desire is to stop this before any more lives are lost. I only hope that together we have a chance.

0

830.953 - 854.121 Captain Vera Sherapova

It certainly makes more sense, in light of actual evidence, that whoever built those machines had some kind of help. Maybe they tried to reach out to something supernatural, and instead ended up with something extraterrestrial. It's just like Arthur C. Clarke's quote. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

856.083 - 869.94 Avery

Excuse me for a moment, won't you? Hello again. Did you and the others find anything?

870.258 - 890.604 Captain Vera Sherapova

Nothing. Not a goddamn thing. But that's not why I'm here. Looks like someone planted a bomb on the Valiant's engine room. A bomb? Probably the same person who cut the rope lines. Sharstein wants everyone to stay in place while we do room-to-rooms. To look for anything suspicious.

891.485 - 896.151 Avery

You're certainly welcome to search my room, but I assure you I'm no bomb-maker.

896.832 - 924.949 Captain Vera Sherapova

Not at all what a bomb-maker would say, right? Has anyone aboard the ship hurt? It doesn't look like it. Just enough to take out the engines and keep us here. Know anyone who doesn't want us to leave? Hold on, Mick. Are you trying to say that we did it? That we planted a goddamn bomb? Dr. Aldrich, you seem alright to me, but I'm not vouching for the others.
