Either way, the podcast Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.

Each episode, we pick a year, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors. Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s. 84 was a wild year. It was a wild year.

What is going on, my people? How are we doing? John Middlecoff, 3NOW Podcast. Hopefully everyone had a good Mother's Day, had a good weekend. For your own moms, your wives, your fiancés, your girlfriends, your baby mamas, whoever it may be. And you had a good weekend. But here's the thing. Because I had Sunday kind of booked around my own family. I told Jackson, producer Jackson, I said... Let's get together a couple days before Sunday. We actually recorded this on Friday. Talk some 2027 draft. Talk some of these rookies heading into the mini camps, which are all starting this upcoming week, and through the end of May into June, and just talk a little ball, nerd out. So that's kind of what we did. Actually recorded this about 48 hours ago, so...
John Middlekauff 3:17
You guys know the drill. If you listen on Colin's feed, subscribe to Three and Out. If you want to watch the show, it's on Netflix. Just hit the alert button. You will never miss an episode. And let's just dive into me and Producer Jackson. And I think officially we had rookie mini camps that didn't happen the first week, happened this weekend. So by the end of or start of Monday, Tuesday, depending the team, you kind of really ramp on or into the practices, all the people are on the field. The rookies, the veterans, unless you're like a Miles Garrett or something.
John Middlekauff 4:05
I mean, some of these guys don't show up to the non-voluntary. But I would say the overwhelming majority of players are on the field with the coaches. I mean, shit, we had 10 new coaching staffs because we had 10 job openings, right? So I guess Joe Brady's technically a carryover, but we have a lot of turnover all over the league. Free agency every year, so...
