So I five big takeaways, three other like really small things at the end, like little notes at various points in this show.
I'm going to be kind of bouncing around on a bunch of different potential picks in the first round. So rather than just kind of ripping through pick by pick, I'm going to kind of stay with these big picture storylines. We're going to be touching on a bunch of players from the first round in the process. Number one, do we see a trade at the top of the draft? We've heard that Darren Peterson doesn't want to play for the Utah Jazz. And we're all aware of the obvious connections between A.J. DeBonsa and Utah. But A.J. 's the clear number one to me. And if I'm Washington, that's the guy I want. So what would it look like? What would the trade look like if Utah were to entice Washington by trading up to number one?
For starters, you got to take into effect the log jam in the Utah front court, right? Like, you can't have Laurie Markin and Jaron Jackson and Walker Kessler and expect A.J. DeBonsa to just, like, I don't know, slide in and play the two, right? So, you have to clear that up in some way, shape, or form. The obvious guy there is Markin. You just traded for Jaron Jackson, so he's unlikely to get moved again, right? And the... The Jaron Jackson can't really play the center. So even if you let go of Walker Kessler, you're going to have to play some other sort of big next to Jaron Jackson, which I don't think AJ DeBonsa can do.
