Here we go. Hour number two on the herd. First hour just flew by. Listen, when you got great topics, great teammate, great staff, it makes it so easy. A lot of World Cup action. We worked a little LeBron in there, some NFL. It's me, Jason McIntyre, filling in for Colin Cowherd. I actually don't know where he is today. I have not spoken to the big guy. I know he's just distraught that Argentina lost. I tried to tell him, listen, before the World Cup, Spain was the side. And then everybody got off them because they were too boring. And it became the France show until they ran into the machine that was Spain. But we got a great... legendary soccer announcer JP De La Camera stopping by shortly to tell us that this was the best World Cup ever.
The answer, obviously, yes. Now, if you guys remember the last World Cup, I know our young audience probably wasn't even born yet, but 1994, it was amazing. On U.S. soil, I was a young guy. I remember my family watching all the games. I've talked to Alexi Lalas, who just so happens to live kind of near me, and I see him when we talk soccer. He was the legend back then. This was 1994, the U.S. team, the memorable matchup against Brazil. Honestly, what the World Cup did in 94 was it began the MLS. The MLS started right after that, and soccer kind of took off in this country.
