For me anyway, if a guy's prepared with condoms and doesn't need to be asked, it shows that they're smart and mature and care about not giving or receiving STIs or an unwanted baby. We'll be speaking to a doctor very soon, but to give me the perspective from someone who owns a penis, we are joined by Mark from Sketch Comedy Trio Auntie Donna.

Uh once or twice. Uh I've been very lucky enough uh for that to happen on me. Um uh and uh and when it has I just uh close my eyes and hope for the best.
As w as do we all. Yes. It's the best you can hope for. We're talking about safe sex and how to not get pregnant.

So have you ever had an STI scare?
Uh yeah, yeah, I had a I had a scare once. I thought I had a STI and I had this really awful experience going to was I was uh living in in Ballarat studying and I was, you know, like a pretty like like uh dirty uni student. I didn't yeah, I didn't do my I didn't do my dishes and I didn't like uh washing my clothes that much. You know, I was just uh you know, I was trying to get through uni. And uh and so it started to really um uh hurt when I was uh ejaculating, right? Like it was painful. Right. And then painful when I was peeing as well. And I was like, uh oh. Um so I was like I was like, maybe I have a urinary tract in in infection, but I was like, is it supposed to hurt when you come if you have one of those?
Is that just you I don't know. Because
that's from the urine hole. Yeah.
So I don't know. No, but ours is the same.
Oh, that's right.
Yeah, yeah. Cause you got two holes, which is great. Anyway, your STI skin. Anyway, STI scare. So then so I went to a doctor and like it was just this awful experience where I went to the doctor and it was just like this, you know, bulk billing clinic and they were and it was just like Uh pee in a cup and we'll see if you've got gonorrhea. And I was like, You I'm like, it might be gonorrhea. And he's like, I don't know. He's like, pee in a cup and we'll see. I was like, I was like, oh shit. So I'm walking.
How did Mark from Aunty Donna experience an STI scare and what did he learn?
I did this really painful pee. And I was just like, oh man. All right. And so I went out and then I had to wait like a week for the results, like a week. And I asked him when I was in there, I was like, Do you want to look at my penis? And he was like, No, thank you. And I was like, all right. So then a way of a week of just like painful urine and like I'm just like I can't have sex. Um uh 'cause I was getting so much. No, I was I was with a girl. I was with a partner. Um and uh And so then I go back and he gets the results and he goes, Great news, you don't have gonorrhea. I'm like, Great. He goes, but I didn't test you for chlamydia. You might have chlamydia. So go pee in a cup. And I was and I was like No I was like, Why?
Why didn't you test me for everything? And he's like, oh no. I'm like, you're the worst. Are you sure he's a real doctor? Right? It was so bad. And so I was like, I'm like, please, I'm like, please look at my pa. I had to beg the doctor to look at my penis. I was like, I'm begging, just see if it's something. Just look at it, man. And he was like, okay. Right. And then I showed him my penis and he went, oh. Maybe you've got a bit of thrush. Try this antibacterial cream, right? And so I tried it. And that's and that's always just like uh and I think and I don't even think I got thrush from having sex. I think this is so embarrassing.
