How did James Nolan first describe his Pain Through Fire ministry?
Even my brother, who was a psychologist, had no answers for me. He was like, I don't even know what to say to you. You've lost your son, your wife, your father-in-law,
and
our mom. But I can actually say that to other people now. I know what they feel like, and I know the silence and the hurt and the pain and the frustration, and just let everybody understand they're not alone in
all
this.
James Nolan is a resilient storyteller, speaker, author, mentor, and the founder of Pain Through Fire. Drawing from profound personal loss and his enduring faith, he inspires others to find strength, healing, and purpose through life's most difficult seasons.
If you have a friend going through something like this and you don't know what to say to them, but you want to help them, the biggest advice I can give you is be present for them. Listen. Just be there. Just be present in their life. How do we navigate our lives? through the Holy Bible and the examples that are set. And the three examples that I found was pain, fire, and blessing. Pain is where you develop character, you grow closer to God. Fire, you get refined by God. And then the blessings is something that happens after you've gone through the first two phases.
It spans the globe like a super high school internet. Elvis! Today, Apple is going to reinvent the phone. It's not over until I win. The Living Your Legacy podcast for those who live to leave a legacy.
That's extraordinary. The impossible. Oh, that is sensational. Open. Chicago was the lead. You said Paul is the fastest man on the planet. You cannot.
Hey, welcome back everyone to another episode of living your legacy podcast. I'm your host again, Jay Slangen. And we're down here at the sunny Miami beach studios, uh, where we get the privilege to talk to some of the greatest entrepreneurs, the disruptors and the experts from so many different industries. And today we have a special guest on our kingdom creative show. Uh, let's get to know him. Uh, so yeah, what's your name, where are you from and what's your business?
So my name is James Nolan and, uh, from Tampa, Florida, uh, originally Green Bay, Wisconsin, but, uh, and the business is, uh, pain through fire.
All right.
What was the impact of losing his son and how did he explain the medical details?
Well, it's a pleasure to have you here on the show today. And, uh, yeah. Explain what is pain through fire? Because I think, um, you know, maybe some firewalking experience,
right? Yeah, no, it's, it's nothing like that. It's, It's a company, more like a ministry I have developed where I take people from going through tragedy in their lives to be able to get back on track again, emotionally, spiritually, to where they can navigate things again. Similar incidents I went through with my life. Well, in three years, I lost four of the closest people in my life. And I had to start all over again trying to figure out who I was. I did that with not only my faith, but I also did that with some close family and friends. Where? Oh, go ahead.
Yeah, because we just had a full session together, you
know,
three hours. I got to know your whole story really well. And, you know, when you were talking about it, sometimes I let people go into a free flow state of talking about, you know, their story for a few minutes. And then you got to the point of what happened. And then. I was like, oh my God, you lost your son, your father-in-law, your wife, and your mom all within a span of three years. Yeah. And I, I, my heart just dropped, you know, because, uh, yeah, I feel like that's, I, I don't know how you dealt with it. Right.
um it wasn't easy um you know when i first thought of you know the company named pain through fire i thought of me being a firefighter who was you know going through firefighting school you're put through all sorts of circumstances because you have to be calm when everybody when there's chaos flying around behind you yeah and you got to be strong And it was hard being strong in those three years. I did all four of my family's funerals, which everybody was like, how did you do all that? And I was like, it was my family. I couldn't let anybody else do it.
