How did Liz Rogers discover her passion for mentoring new agents?

Elizabeth Rogers 0:00
I like mentoring people. I like helping people in business. It's very rewarding to me to help people. So I started mentoring new agents coming into the business. And I feel that is a talent that I never even realized that I had. I had to overcome my own adversities and I had to be creative. I had to be flexible. In doing that, I was able to help other people. And I think that's become my mission now.

Ray Gutierrez 2:07
makes you a powerful woman?
Elizabeth Rogers 2:09
Being a woman in power, what it means to me. Is Learning how to overcome adversities, learning how to be flexible through life's challenges, because everyone has them. I'm not the only one with life challenges, but not everyone knows how to navigate them and and troubleshoot and um some people just get overwhelmed by their their challenges. I like mentoring people, I like helping people. people in business. Um it's very rewarding to me to help people. And uh so I started mentoring new agents coming into the business. And I feel that um that is a talent that I never even realized that I had. Uh it came about through adversity. I had to overcome my own adversities and I had to be creative. I had to be flexible and um
Elizabeth Rogers 3:03
In doing that I um I was able to help other people and I think that's become my mission now.
Ray Gutierrez 3:10
It's amazing that you are coaching a new agents onto the field because a lot of my folks, a lot of my friends that went to high school with me actually are agents here in Miami. And I see their social media. And I know a lot of it is 80, 20, 80% is a theatrics living this life of amazing luxury. And you're really creating a funnel to sell properties. But that 20% is a little bit of a mystery where it's like, how did you end up doing that? A lot of folks want to live this lavish lifestyle, want to know how to sell properties, know the guff. know the personality and you coach all this. That's amazing. Um, what is your common client? Is it someone fresh out of high school, dropouts, folks that have masters and they kind of just want to pivot into a new career?
Elizabeth Rogers 3:47
I think a lot of people who have been in the customer service industry, I think they do the best because connecting with other people, um, connecting with your clients, really understanding them, um, kinda comes from the customer service industry. If you're working a nine to five in an office, you're not surrounded by people and you don't interact with people a lot, you're gonna struggle a little bit more. Now the real estate career I mean, we create this image of it being very glamorous. And I can literally be on a boat taking beautiful selfies and beautiful scenery, and I've done it many times. And I sure all of my friends and family probably think I'm living a life of just she didn't work.
