The Department of Defense, too, sent out a similar letter to its employees. HHS, headed by Bobby Kennedy, sent an email on Sunday morning verifying the legitimacy of the email, urging employees to reply. But NIH, which is under HHS, writing to staff an hour later saying, do not comply. The federal government employs about 2.1 million civilians, The deadline for response is set for 11.59 p.m.
