Hey everyone, I'm Megan Kelly. Welcome to the Megan Kelly Show and happy Monday. Lots of news to get to today, including what in the world happened at the MTV Video Music Awards last night. Literally nobody cares about the MTV Video Music Awards. I realize this, but it made its way into my feed, and therefore we must discuss Madonna's very strange ass, which had lasers shooting out of it, as well as her lips. And what she's doing. I'm just gonna tell you up front, I have bigger goals for myself when eventually, in many years, I hit age 68. I desperately hope that I have more self-confidence and am less needy of other people's approval. Uh, I've kind of felt like I got there when I hit my 50s. I'm not sure what's happening there when she's almost in.
Also over the weekend, a touching moment. This is the moment of the week. Uh as a baseball legend wraps up a Hall of Fame career. You know, I know nothing about sports, and I certainly don't know anything about baseball, and I didn't know who this guy was. But I do know he's married to Kate Upton. Found that out last night. The, you know, moral she was from the the Carl's Junior ad and she was, you know, this stunning model. And then you kind of didn't hear from her anymore. And I think it's because she married a major league baseball player who's probably raking in the bucks. She became a mom of two. And I don't care about any of that. What I care about is that sweet moment that happened from the pitcher's mound over the weekend, which I don't care how cold-hearted you may be, like a cynical newswoman is yours truly.
It's it's gonna make you feel something. Um I la now I'm a new fan of this. Guy Verlander, just as he leaves MLB. But first, our pal Mark Halpern is here and he is in the news himself. What did he do? He offered some hard truths for Republicans in advance of the midterms. And let's be honest, it was about time someone did it. I mean, I've been hearing nothing, nothing but naysaying from all the Republicans I know, and trust me, I know a lot of Um, but the co-campaign chairman of Trump's prior campaign, Chris La Sevita, posted on X that Howprin is quote full of shit. He did not like the reports. We're we don't expect Team Trump to like them. The question is, did Mark report truthfully? Uh well Mark always does.
He he is not somebody known for having TDS at all. He's had done many, many reports that are very, very optimistic for Republicans, but not right now, because that's not what he's hearing from his well-placed Republican sources. First, he dropped a report in the Daily Mail that Republicans' private polling is showing the midterms are starting to look like President Trump's quote worst nightmare imaginable. Well, that piece went completely viral. Halpern later posted on X that seventeen additional Republican strategists later confirmed to him that his reporting is accurate and that they were seeing the same thing. Well, Mark has continued his reporting and he is here to share what exactly he's seeing.
