Don Lemon is going to claim some kind of journalist exemption, First Amendment protection, and pretend that he was merely a reporter covering the event rather than one of the conspirators of the event. And so I thought the feds had said, you know what? Never mind. We're not going to go there. Ladies and gentlemen, they got him. According to Lemon's attorney, Abby Lowell, he was arrested and said, quote, the First Amendment exists to protect journalists whose role it is to shine light on the truth and hold those in power accountable.
There is no more important time for people like Don Lemon to be doing this work, to be doing this work. What is this work? This work is to violate federal law by disrupting church services, screaming in the faces of little kids. What is this work? So you knew that was going to be the defense, First Amendment. However, this is a bogus defense. You cannot commit a crime and then get off the hook because you claim to have been a journalist while committing the crime.
