Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
This is a podcast from Rover.
Yes, 23rd of April, Thursday today, and g'day, Miles. G'day, guys. Creech in with, well, Bryce is off fishing, fishing trip.
Yes, I thought I'd just come in here and take a seat. Well, you're in tomorrow. Keep it warm. On the show. Thank you. Thank you, yeah, looking forward to it. Should be good. Mitch, g'day, mate. Morning. Morning. We're talking about camping today on today's episode, Camping Calamities.
Can you tell us? Because we can chat about it tomorrow, but you, there's someone of your mates, well, Corbin, who actually works here. Oh, yeah. He had a story about you.
Yeah, look, we absolutely went for it one day. Where were you? Kaiwi Lakes. And, yeah, there's a big campground. When you say you absolutely went for it, what? Oh, yeah, you just sort of, one thing leads to another and you just sort of boof, boof, boof.
What was the one thing that led to another? What's the first thing?
The first thing is the beautiful sound. Yeah. Yeah, bearsies. And then what's the next thing? Oh, there's more bearsies. Oh, yeah.

Chapter 2: What camping calamities are shared in this episode?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that's it. Just bearsies. Right. But anyway, so it was actually a year anniversary since we'd been to Kairi Lakes and had been kicked out, which was just, again, ridiculous. Why did you get kicked out? They said we were a bit loud. We are.
There's a common trend here. Debatable. You were kicked out of Eden Park.
No, no, no, no, no. That was a fucking travesty.
and i stand by it i like to think i do enjoy a good time but i'm also an empath and i would never want to intrude on someone's personal space or ruin their time yeah but anyway kaiwi lakes uh yeah apparently we're a bit loud i mean seriously you could have bitten a snack of changi and they would have told us to shut up it was so quiet no no no truly they did not so next morning like you guys gotta go okay anyway
One year later, we came back, and they were like, oh, we remember you from last year. You must have made an impact.

Chapter 3: What happened during the camping trip at Kaiwi Lakes?
Make sure you keep it down this year. Of course we will. Anyway, party, party, party. We're actually on the lake, sort of away from the campground. There's jet skis, there's boats, there's wakeboarding. It's one hell of a time. And when we get back to the campground, literally everyone is gone. The entire campground is empty, except for ours. You can see our tents sort of flapping about.
One of them's rolling away. And we kind of didn't realize the severity of Cyclone Gabriel. Oh, no. Yeah, it was when Cyclone Gabriel happened.
Well, actually, to be fair, and fairness to Creech Miles, that kind of crept up on us, didn't it?
It did, yeah. They said it was going to rain.
Yeah, no one knew what was coming.
No, not really. Or told us what was coming. Yeah, let me tell you, that shit was hectic. And you know what's crazy? Just quickly, side note. One of the worst sunburns I've ever had, and it was during a cyclone. Oh, wow. Couldn't even see the sun. Yeah, but it'll get you through the high clouds. I looked like a tomato. It was crazy.
You know, Malzino sunburns. I look like a tomato generally.
Yeah.
You know. But you taste a lot better. What?

Chapter 4: Why were they kicked out of the campground?
Yeah, yeah. Fair enough. Is that the only reason you wear a hat? Nope. For my scalp. But yeah, so we go back to the campground.
It's completely empty.
And the people that we thought maybe don't like us, they come up to us. They're like, hey, the whole campground's empty. You guys probably want to head off. We say to them, none of us can drive. No, no, no. We've all been having beers, beers, and more beers. Oh, of course. And then they just laughed. And they're like, okay, here are the keys to the boat shed up there on the side of the lake.
You guys spend your time there. And there were about 20 of us. This big group of 20. Oh, 20 of you? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought it was you and Corbin. No, no, no. Sorry. I should have reiterated. Yeah, there was a lot of us. Anyone else we know? No. Not that I know of. You know, that's so not surprising, isn't it, Rog?
I'm like, 20. The only one we know that was with you was Corbyn.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He'll back me up. But anyway, so here we go. Oh, Carl, my ex-flatmate. The one that put me in the cupboard. Do we know him? No, we don't know him. You don't know him personally? No. But he's the legend that when I went through my breakup, he took me under his wing. Yeah, he did. He housed me.
He overcharged you for a windowless room. Even.
He's a great man.
I wasn't here then. But Mitch, even you were, and this is you, I mean, you're 24. I'm sure you've seen some terrible flats in your time. Even you were horrified at where Creech was sleeping.

Chapter 5: What was the impact of Cyclone Gabriel on their camping experience?
Apparently there's three of them. I've never met the other one. Never met the other one. Maybe Mitch invented the third one so he just didn't have to
give you the bed yeah yeah he's like Rainer let's pretend the house is full yeah Rainer let's pretend we've got a third flatmate and let's say that third flatmate doesn't want Creech moving in when you're getting text complaints from your flatmates that they could just hear you humping all night well I reckon that's a small price to pay You get to hear true love in the making, in the flesh.
And then there was like six weeks in a row that you'd been doing hard. Yeah.
Were you going to join? Can you talk us through that text?
Everyone's welcome. I think when you were with Bella, I think you've told this story before anyway, that you were mid-hump, and didn't she get a text?
Yeah, she got a text from her downstairs neighbour saying, holy shit, Creech going hundies. Are you okay? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because her bed, we couldn't find the right screwdriver. So we left the screwdriver to me. What's he say for you? Sorry, we didn't have one. We needed to tighten the screws.
Did your nuts need tightening?
Yeah, yeah.
We needed to tighten it because it's quite a... Right, right. Yeah, yeah. You needed a bit of that CRC spray.
