0

28.304 - 31.951 Mark

I may have actually stuck some extra plasters in there in Wales, just in case you guys cut yourselves.

0

31.971 - 33.795 Brooke

Oh my God, it's got everything in it. Wow.

33.955 - 40.287 Mark

It's like a full-on kit. It's a first aid kit. Oh, we're sorted. Yeah, we absolutely are. Chemist Warehouse, proud sponsors of The Morning Shift.

40.969 - 43.133 Unknown

Rolling with Chemist Warehouse.

45.779 - 52.735 Brooke

Give me some! Let's go! Never fold. Ten toes down, baby. You know who it is.

Chapter 2: How did Matua's decisions create friction among the group?

52.755 - 55.601 Brooke

I'm trying to be like you, mother. Shush.

0

55.621 - 59.169 Mark

It's too late to turn back now. The Morning Shift.

Yes, kia ora, good morning, good evening and everything in between. It's a talk to me night Thursday. We have our morning show to try and miss this. To our sisters. We back for another show just in case you missed us. Do the dish.

0

79 - 84.507 Jordan

It's a place in New Zealand, guys. It's a place in New Zealand. Stay blessed. No stress.

Chapter 3: What lessons were learned from the Rangitahi symposium?

84.527 - 116.839 Jordan

We've got you covered like a sundress. Welcome to officially the number one show. If you call down, I'll take you home. Welcome to New Media. Peace. So we should watch our P's and Q's No, we're good people. Well, I feel like I am. So, you know, we should be fine.

0

117.36 - 119.704 Brooke

They were dropping some F-bombs out there before.

0

Chapter 4: What experiences did the hosts share about their hotel stay?

120.025 - 120.926 Jordan

We'll get to that.

0

122.168 - 134.29 Brooke

We'll get to that. We will. But we are here in Whakatane today. And boy, do we have a story for you already. Oh my gosh. I think we can hold that one to a little bit later on in the show. But Matua Mark, we need to have a talk, buddy.

0

134.31 - 135.692 Jordan

Moment of the year for us.

0

136.246 - 141.901 Mark

What are you... Okay, I'm not going to get into it too deep right now because obviously we're going to have a lot... A part of the show... Oh, don't even do that.

0

141.921 - 142.964 Jordan

I'm getting annoyed again.

Chapter 5: How did the group find inspiration from the next generation?

143.124 - 154.978 Jordan

Like, I'm just... I was getting over it. Matua Mark booked our common whakatane. And, uh... How do we even start?

0

155.159 - 167.094 Brooke

This is what I worked out with Mark. Mark's range is much more than we would ever go. Last week we were very blessed. Mark booked our place in Brisbane.

0

167.275 - 176.547 Jordan

See I have a theory about this and that's why I would like to break it down because I'm still very heated.

0

176.527 - 183.807 Brooke

We'll tell you a little bit more about our stays in Australia, comparably to our stay in Whakatane a little bit later on in the show.

0

183.827 - 192.469 Jordan

Which I also have to book another hotel room later, which is interesting. But hey, you know we didn't let that do, Matomo? We don't need that.

192.489 - 193.17 Mark

Dampen our spirits.

193.57 - 194.391 Jordan

We had a great day today.

194.431 - 204.464 Mark

We did have a great day today. And we'll talk about that more when we're doing our conversation with Spates. Because Spates, we're doing our men's then.

Chapter 6: What reflections were made about cultural diversity and personal growth?

204.584 - 207.027 Mark

It is brought to you by Spates. Helping mates.

0

207.968 - 209.45 Jordan

Be better mates.

0

209.49 - 216.338 Mark

What are we doing here in Whakatane? And just how special it has been on day one of our rangatahi symposium.

0

216.453 - 232.572 Jordan

Yes, so basically we had this beautiful invitation for us to come down to Whakatane where there are a lot of youth, young people here that are still in high school that just, it's a really awesome thing where they're hearing from different people and I guess as adults they work in different professions.

0

232.552 - 258.171 Jordan

professions and they're able to give these kids ideas about what they could do in life we had some people who own their own dessert business which is grossed over millions of dollars and it's from the local place here in whakatane we had an ex-black power president well actually you know he's still doing amazing work so he's got his master's now he's chasing his master's of waikato where he's also a teacher teaching philosophy philosophy and it comes from the black power as the

258.151 - 259.274 Jordan

It was a beautiful story.

259.334 - 270.722 Brooke

You did say, boys, that speech that he put out there. Incredible. Top five speeches I've ever seen in my life. No, straight up. Straight up, bro. You talk about having the room in the palm of your hand. Bro, he had me from start to finish.

270.742 - 272.165 Jordan

But even, yeah, 100%.

272.406 - 273.308 Brooke

I was locked, bro.

Chapter 7: What humorous moments occurred during the podcast?

282.019 - 284.081 Jordan

There's no way they could land a talk like he did.

0

284.101 - 297.417 Brooke

It was amazing. Absolutely incredible. So, man, I hope that these kids are taking something away from today. Tomorrow, we're back here tomorrow to do the work expos and tell a little bit about ourselves. Matumaki got those sniffles again. Oh, man, Dusty. When you get excited, you sneeze all the time, I've noticed.

0

297.437 - 303.948 Jordan

Which... I've just lost my train of thought. I'm sorry.

0

304.249 - 318.539 Mark

All right, we are in a small, thank you, Hendo, pass me some water. We're in a small kind of green room, I guess you could say, where we sat and wait for the guests. Then they would do their hour-long speech. I think we're in a prayer room.

0

318.559 - 318.82 Jordan

We are, yeah.

318.8 - 330.234 Mark

But ultimately what it is, it's a small little concrete bunker, to be fair. And there's a bit of dust circulating. So my nose this size, a bit of dust doesn't go by all day. So apologies for that.

Chapter 8: How did the episode conclude with a message of encouragement?

330.274 - 338.324 Mark

But let's be honest with you guys. You will hear a bit of an echo. It is what it is. We are getting our studio sorted. And we appreciate you being on this journey with us.

0

338.504 - 344.892 Brooke

I love this podcast. It takes you all around the world. And around home. And around home. It's a four-hour drive. I didn't know it was a four-hour drive.

0

344.872 - 349.679 Mark

Yeah, it's a good drive. That threw me a little bit, if I'm not being completely honest. Aucklanders getting up in Bombay.

0

349.699 - 355.988 Jordan

Before I drive straight into a haunted hotel. But we'll get there. We should not talk about that prematurely.

0

356.008 - 359.053 Mark

No, let's not do that yet. Let's do Daily Bread. Let's get into Daily Bread.

361.076 - 362.698 Jordan

That's right, guys. Daily Bread.

362.758 - 380.397 Mark

Breaking Bread with the news of today. Ah, yes. And today... Hang on a sec, I'm playing with the screens, okay. Today it is May 21st, that is 141 days deep in the year, 224 left to getter it up! Getter it up! It's World Day of Cultural Diversity.

382.3 - 393.872 Brooke

Absolutely. It should be every day. Learn about everyone's cultures. Learn about them. Love them. Let people enjoy their cultures without having to mear all over it. That's a good day.

394.233 - 399.758 Mark

It's a beautiful day. I'd like to get to a point where we don't need a day to do it. As you can say, it should be every day.
