Jenna Bush Hager called her father President George W. Bush and hold a copy. Her one-time female co-host, My Two Dads. Hello and welcome to your Friday edition of The Nerve. I am your host, Maureen Callaghan. It is a stacked and packed show, my troublemakers. We are going to begin with a celebrity roundup. And this segment is so good and packed that we actually had to kick a new offender out of this segment and all the way into next week so we could build it out properly. So something to look forward to. We're going to begin with Timothée's Shyamalama Ding Dong. You know, we're taping this the day of the Knicks having their parade in the Canyon of Heroes in downtown New York City. And it is a madhouse in New York City.
Maureen Callahan 1:06
And Timothée is not helping matters, okay? He is not. Then we're going to discuss the scathing Vanity Fair expose of Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper. This feminist podcast, not so feminist, not so feminist, and not for the reasons you might think. Plus, Chloe Malle is out here defending her indefensible presence and leadership of Vogue, which is dead. But I mean, she's out here defending her insipid, vapid, weak, charisma-free nature. So it's perfect for the nerve, perfect for the nerve. And then we have, you know, we covered a couple of these incidents involving different actresses about a week, week and a half ago on the nerve. There's this thing happening right now where these actresses who have had serious, serious issues seem to be relapsing before our faces.
Maureen Callahan 2:12
And the rest of the entertainment media If they're not outright ignoring it, they're talking around it and it's not helpful and it's not healthy. So we're going to talk about it here on The Nerve. Then we've got troublemaker feedback, troublemaker art. And then we've got Meg Josephson, our friend Meg, psychotherapist and author of the incredible self-help book, Are You Mad at Me? And those are words I very rarely string together. Incredible book. self-help book meg is the exception meg is joining us once again to discuss how to navigate difficult family dynamics as we approach father's day this sunday okay it is time are you ready are you ready let's go a lot of skin care companies purport to sell us wholesome natural products the trouble is that most of the big names out there are owned
Maureen Callahan 3:15
by mega corporations and private equity firms that prioritize profit over quality. Fortunately, one company is doing things differently, and that's Vanman. They started the tallow trend a few years back with their grass-fed tallow moisturizers, and they have been crushing it ever since. Tallow makes for a great moisturizer because the fatty acids are nearly identical to the oils in our own skin, so our bodies actually recognize it. One use, and trust me, you will feel the difference. Plus, there are no chemicals, no filler, and a little goes a long way. Talobalm isn't just a moisturizer. It can replace your night cream, wrinkle cream, even Neosporin and diaper balm. It's powerful enough to heal the skin, yet safe enough to spread on your toast.
Maureen Callahan 4:06
That's how you know these are real ingredients. Ditch the corporate chemicals. Go to vanman.shop slash Maureen. Use code Maureen for 15% off your first order. That's Maureen for 15% off your first order. Vanman, real ingredients, no exceptions. We begin yet again. I'm like an exasperated judge who has in fact seen a repeat offender appear in my courtroom one too many times. And this kid is out of chances. Okay. As I said in the intro, it is a very joyous day in New York city.

What celebrity mishap kicked off the roundup at the Knicks victory parade?

Maureen Callahan 4:42
It's also insane. The Knicks had their victory parade in downtown New York city this morning. I mean, every area where you could watch this thing was full by like 8 in the morning. The parade started at 10. A lot of celebrities showed up, but the celebrities who are hardcore fans, you know, like. And Timotei is one. I will give him that. But the Mariska Hargitays, the Ben Stillers, the Chris Rocks, the Spike Lees, the lifers who have suffered through the Knicks, losing and losing and losing again.
