Uh great Chris. On Friday we flew to Bilbao and then on Saturday morning we got a bus transport from Bilbao to s uh a town in France called Saint Jean Piet de Porte. And uh we we crossed the French border, Spain into France, the coach was pulled in and The French police came on board, examined all our passports. And sent us on our merry way, which was interesting. And then we started walking and went up over the Pyrenees, uh, crossed into Spain, eventually ended up on Sunday evening in Pamplona. It was sort of twenty eight degrees, and uh it was fabulous. I mean the Pyrenees, the the beauty was just astounding. Uh despite it was a pretty and I I I assume a A lot of our listeners would have done it because, you know, a lot of people do the Camino these days, but that section is tough, but it's bloody beautiful.
We were, as you know, as I've said a few times, we were raising money for the um Michaels fan club set up by the Two friends of mine after the loss of their seven year old son to brain cancer And um we A a lot of people uh donated to me, some anonymously, you know, some um name themselves but uh for anybody listening here that donated like to thank him profusely. Uh it was a fantastic two days actually. There was about thirty one of us, some d a lot of diverse people from all over the place. And I guess I should really call out uh there was a stand up comedian from uh she's Irish but based in London, um Hilda. So I have to call her out because uh Uh sh she was in intrigued that uh she was with a podcaster on the walk.
So Hilda, it was it was great sharing the weekend with you if you're listening and to all my other participants. No, it was great, Chris. It was really great.
Jim, you should have taken a microphone or just got your iPhone out and s hit record because I don't know. That sort of thing could easily have been incorporated into a podcast and I think that you would have had some amazing conversations and it could have even been a video blog and y given where you were, you could have taken some amazing video and pictures. So um maybe something to think about for the future.
Chris, I will remind you that a few weeks back when we're walking through the beauty of South Wales, uh we discussed this concept. So Yes, that's exactly

don't sound great.
Yeah, I'm a bit croaky because uh I'm just recovering from COVID, believe it or not. uh probably the fourth or fifth time over the last four or five years that I've had this and I've had exactly the same set of symptoms and outcome that the previous bouts. Uh the first twenty four I'm very lucky, I don't get it for very long. The first twenty four hours are absolutely awful. You feel like you've been run over by a train. And then you spend the next twenty four hours uh recovering, at least I do, and by From start to finish for me it's forty eight hours. I y end up sounding a bit like this, which is sort of legacy of a cold thing, but it's it's very rough at first, but then very quickly I seem to seem to clear it, which has not been the experience of some other people I know.
So I get it milder than most, um not as bad as some, so uh I'm grateful for that, but God knows where I got it from. I was at uh a s quick as quick Cricket stadium on Wednesday, so I I'm at the finger of S or was it Thursday? Last Thursday I was a in a big Stadium around lots of people, so that's where the finger of suspicion lies. But be warned, people, it's still out there.
